Josh is a thinker... He seems very deliberate in what he says and does so i think you can feel secure and know he's not ignoring or choosing something over you. After 46 years with a very godly man-i can say rest in the Lord and know the "completer" He has given you always has your best interest at heart. Sometimes that includes him being alone, or in a different place to clear his mind or listen to the Lord. Or just resting his mind and being refreshed. Keep loving Him and loving each other. ❤️

My husband and I honestly have kind of the same type of relationship. Very much giving each other a hard time, i.e. teasing, jabs etc. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but whatever works ! Kudos for sharing this with us and letting us see how you guys work!💗
My husband and I play pranks on each other all the time (like tossing cold water over the shower when one is in it), nothing mean, but many family or friends have said mean comments about it. It has always been our own way of showing our love in a fun way. I am glad you & your spouse have your own way too.

Hi Megan and Josh! I feel you on the politics area...boy Can it consume you! One thing that has helped me immensely is to always remember to be as Christ-like as we can be...so when I find myself cursing under my breath because someone’s political opinion is on the opposition, I just take a deep breath and say a little prayer for myself and that person. Loved listening to all your answers! I’ll definitely be trying this!
Yes, you ask Josh a question then you talk, talk, talk...answering your own questions while Josh thinks things over..perhaps you prepared the questions so you were so ready with a lengthy answer and Josh wasn’t as familiar with his answers...still waters run deep. It was fun getting to know him a little. ✌🏼 and yes, he must love listening.
Yes neither of us were prepared, but he's more thoughtful and I'm more off the cuff so a lot of times he would think and then say "well what were you gonna say".and then he thinks while I do my talking. But it is my channel and he doesn't really like to take the lead on this. If he started his own channel I'd be the quiet one.

I would just like to say that my husband and I are so much like you and Josh! I have seen several comments about you talking over him or interrupting and it honestly put a lump in my throat because that is something that has always hurt me when people tell me that. I know for my husband and I (his name is also Josh) we work very well together and he never feels cut off or overrun by my talking even when I have more to say then he does. We have learned to walk side by side in conversation and after five years we have found a happy rhythm that looks much like you and Josh. I just wanted to say that, while constructive critics can be helpful, I also understand what it means to be a talker married to a non talker and how hurtful those comments can be. You two are clearly doing just find and others feelings on how much you talk and he doesn't shouldn't be something you let get you down.

I am not mennonite, but I very much enjoy the casualness and realness of your channel. You have no apologies for how you live your life with your faith and family and I just appreciate that because I’m trying to do the same.
Enjoyed seeing the video and can see that you both seem happier than say, a year or a year and a half ago. You got the kitchen project and maybe some other big projects out of the way so maybe that helps too. Josh isn't just doing more construction when he comes home. You have a beautiful family and your kids are presh. Glad that things are going well. Megan was very honest about what she feels her weaknesses are. That was brave to do so publicly. Those were fun questions and certainly made it easy for you two to have a conversation. Love that Josh made the connection between his morning reading and you seeing the generosity in him! Just saw a youtube video of a guy who went to strangers and knocked on their door and asked what their rent or mortgage was and then gave them that amount in cash. The first guy he went to said he had JUST prayed that morning for help from God to pay his rent and then this guy showed up. He asked sincerely, "Are you an angel?" The youtuber said "No." But he was sent. God is good. Love how he works. Great to see a man of faith.

Why do people in the comments find it necessary to be rude? I love your personality and listening to your chatty videos. They keep me company. And it's obvious that you guys kind of balance each other out, like my hubby and I. (We're opposites, but he is definitely the more talkative one.) Just a suggestion: at 3 years old I think I started with my oldest putting away the silverware from the dishwasher and helping to switch laundry from washer to dryer. They can also clear their dish after meals.

I love that you mentioned not just being in love with becoming a mom. Everyone thinks you’re a woman it’s a must ! Also sometimes if they have troubles conceiving they try and shame you. I’m a mom now and super close and happy with my daughter but it wasn’t exactly in my original plans. 🙂
It’s great to see young Christian couples interact. A marriage is so worth fighting for and it’s ok to disagree about things and discuss ,and work things out.
I think we have to remember that Megan and Josh are strangers to us. We only know them through the (literall) lense of this channel and we shan't judge them and their relationship based on what we see in a thirty-ish minutes video. Saying things as "you should look at this video from the point of view of your viewers and you realise that you talk over him too much" is dismissive and contemptuous. Anyway, fun video ! I always enjoy my Friday morning with you.
Editing comes into play too. I have to keep the video moving. But it is true. When I'm in charge of a video I feel the need to keep things going. But I actually am very relaxed when we film and I always enjoy hearing Josh think out loud!
Loved this video. I can see the growth as a couple since I've joined too. My husband and I just celebrated our 10th anniversary and im seeing more and more the truth that comes with how you grow deeper in love the longer you're together and living for the Lord. Theres a comfort and respect and you give a little more grace and ease up on expectations and its just a beautiful thing isn't it??

Your favorite date story reminds me of mine. We’ve been married 7 years and shortly after we were married, we decided to have an impromptu afternoon. It was a pretty March afternoon, and we decided to take a four-wheeler ride on my husband’s family farm. We go out, and the tire on the trailer was flat. We changed that, and got the four-wheeler loaded. We went to leave, and the truck battery was dead. We jumped that and went over to my father-in-law’s house. We went to unload the four-wheeler and the muffler had blown out of place. We got that corrected and had a very nice ride over hills and valleys, down to the river, picked March lillies. We went back and loaded the four -wheeler, went to leave, and the truck battery was dead again (had an issue we had to fix later.) We got it jumped again, and started for home, in the dark at this point. On the way home the strap broke and the four-wheeler (which I had inadvertently left in neutral) rolled off the trailer in the middle of the road. Luckily it was a straight stretch, so we easily chased it down and got it reloaded, and finally made it home. It was the most enjoyable time!!! We’ve never laughed so much!!!
Yes, it is so much for a teen to drive these days. That is what I do for a living and it is very tough to tell parents or a young adult how much their insurance will cost. Shopping around is vital and not getting bombarded with agents calling every 6 months is important, too. I work in a call center (we call it appointed agents) but local agents will usually help you shop around as well. It definitely pays off to price check things. I paused the coverages. You can lower your comp to 500 and it probably won't change the price much. That's the one for deer/fallen branches, windshield. Another great way to check insurance is to ask a car body person which company they would get. They know which companies will get quality work done in case you do have a claim. That is another great resource that is often overlooked.
I am starting to prepare myself for that right now as kids here can get their license permit at 14. Any advice you could share would be great lol Do good grades truly help with lower rates and what about older car vs newer car rates and if older car is somewhat a sportier one?
@@ebgbjo2025 A permit doesn't really change the price. The license does, so when you get your quote, ask them to see what it would cost when they have an actual license. So maybe they can change the date of birth so it will be a preview of what a teen with an actual license does to the price. A car with safety features, not worth a lot (in case they have to pay for a wrecked car or damaged car), trucks seem to be more. But get what they are comfortable driving. Good grades DO count. I think it's B or above. I actually write motorcycle and RV/boat stuff but I think that's what the questions were. Also, once they graduate high school get them right into a Jr College or certificate or ANY further education. This seems to be a question that helps in some states. The questions are always changing so always ask if there are any new discounts that might help. When you are car shopping, run several different year/make/model and see which ones are cheaper. Ultimately, the safest car that is cheap to repair. I am a Toyota fan for those reasons. Hopes this helps. My parents made me ride a horse until I was 18. No kidding.
@@spunkycat6144 What do you mean the permit doesn't change the price? (Legit question). In our state the restricted minors permit (which you can get after 90-180 days after having instruction permit, 90 days is if you take drivers ed) allows drivers at age 14 to drive from 6am-10pm unaccompanied so I would assume that would increase our insurance rates, wouldn't it? We already have the car (it's a 90s model) and he gets great grades currently. Hope he keeps up the good work once he is in high school lol Riding a horse would be awesome! Lucky you! :)

Now, I have never even had kids but when I did quotes in every state, this was something that I always showed people. The price now (with permit) and the price with the actual license. They are usually different so see if your agent can tell if there is an increase in the difference. Hope that clears it up a bit more. I hope you saw the new video out today, I am watching it now. Meghan I Love the answer you guys gave for where you see yourself in 10 years. I think it does us good to just take one day at a time and stay focused on God instead of making big plans for the future or rather WORRYING over the future.
Very interesting, I think alot of people make 10 year plans and for some it's ok, however for myself I know the way forward is to appreciate everything we have here and now, enjoy what is, look forward to what could be but most of all enjoy everything you have right now as life can change very quickly and if your striving to accomplish something in 10 years so it comes to fruition, your missing out on all the precious people & times here and now. Megan I love your honesty about children and not wanting children even, I myself wanted a daughter and I was blessed to have one,but I know of people who feel the same as you but can't talk about it, so we'll done for putting a potential taboo subject out there. Thank you for your honesty about motherhood Megan - I took a long time to have children too and never felt very maternal either but I am SO glad I have 2 lovely daughters (in their twenties now). I think it's so important for Christian couples to have children when they want to (if they can) - for some it'll be as soon as possible and for others it may be later, but not to feel they need to conform to other people's views. Josh is obviously very thoughtful and like most guys probably doesn't talk about things much - but you need to maybe give him a bit more space to express himself! Also, my husband often doesn't want to share his food either!

My husband and I just celebrated our 52nd anniversary. When we first got married I used to always ask him to talk more. I was interested in what he was thinking. Now after all these years he is outgoing and talks to people. I love listening to him and his point of view. Don't worry about the naysayers. Enjoy your relationship with each other. You have a beautiful family and a husband who obviously loves you very much.

I feel like my husband and I are very similar to you guys!! 😂 I am the same way with my husband’s time/resources and our arguments. I need to remember the is for me and also that our time/money/resources are not ours in the first place. God calls us to be giving, I have a hard time with it, but I need to work more at it.
