I can't imagine being so stupid and self centered that you were willing to kill this young woman and your own baby because you didn't want to pay for your pleasure. Baby boy was born on my 20th bday ..I felt personally connected to this case as I live here in Charlotte Nc ..It was my Birthday and I was also pregnant at the time ..It broke my heart I could not sleep well at all! Chancellor went to elementary and middle school with my sons when I tell you he could light up room..please believe me bc he has a light that shines on and through him it just radiates to everyone who crosses paths with him! My sons used to come home and tell me they had a great day bc they got a smile from chancellor ! His grandmother, my GOD, is truly an AMAZING EARTH ANGEL, she too always had a smile from the times I would see her in the school hallways ! She and chancellor are BOTH a BLESSING to us all !

So sad, she was mentally still there and knew exactly what was going on in that moment but her body was just giving out. And she knew that. That is literally the most devastating thing. And so so sooo scary. No one deserves that. I wouldn’t even wish that on my worst enemy. Her last moments reminds me of sleep paralysis. She’s there but her body couldn’t handle the trauma. Rest In Peace to that beautiful queen❤️.

It makes my heart happy that Mom was able to touch and bond with her baby boy before passing. I live in Charlotte, when the news did a story recently about Chandler graduating from High School, you could tell Grandma was so so so proud 🥲. Many Blessings to you and your channel.

I remember that feeling when the doctors layed my son on my chest, it was the best feeling ever , I can’t imagine how badly shareka wanted to meet her baby but had no choice but to let go … it’s heartbreaking, that’s why it’s important to know what kind of man you’re dealing with , a man who says he doesn’t want a baby with you will end you and that child if you do otherwise , they’ll do anything to avoid that type of responsibility

Cherika's Mother had stated an a Dateline interview "Rae Carruth" wrote a letter to her before he was released from prison stating: He wanted a relationship with his son, because she was getting older and had been his sons' only primary care taker, and that if anything happened to her what would happen to his son's benefits. Learn from the mistake of those who came before us because time and time again we are shown that men will go to any lengths to not have a baby they don’t want. Pregnancy should be a great special time where you are surrounded by love and support. The child is already doomed if it comes into the world unwanted by one parent and they will grow up dealing with rejection.

He pay his debt in full.. he did every day of the 18yrs. He still had God to answer to. However we have a merciful God who if you repent, and accept Christ you WILL be forgiven even for Murder. Leya when you said she had a tear come down her face before she passed. I thought that was so heartbreaking😥. I was just imagining like if that was me I would be so hurt. She laying there crying her heart out because she never thought probably in a million years he would want to hurt her. Her going with him and being trusting thinking they could patch things up Is the reason she gone. That is the sad part because it shouldn't have had to be like that. My late mom told us about a friend who had cause her friend death and still went to see her before they put her in the coffin. And that was when the dead woman gringe and tears came rolling down Her eyes they ask the ; dead woman friend to leave. This was very sad. @@ktax1813 Her mother said it was ok to see him IF he wanted to ..she was hesitant at first before he got out. But he then chose to not see him and disrupt his life any further. He do and used two rite letters to his son and Mrs Adam's often. I used to see chancellor and his grandmother often at school..my sons went to the same elementary and middle school as chancellor did and they would often some home and tell me they had a great day bc chancellor gave them a smile! Hes well loved and he is just the sweetest Angel here on earth! That thing of a father he had doesn't deserve a look from ANYONE !

@@xararogers3186 he seemed to be a regular kid from the neighborhood..he stayed out of trouble because his goal was to get to the NFL..I don't know if he suffers from a form of CTE but we all feel he did it because he didn't want to pay child support for a another child..he was already paying like 3K for one child and he didn't want to come up off anymore money..our whole neighborhood was shocked because we knew him and he goes and does this 😞 It's unfortunate the only way the Dr can diagnose CTE is after death..I guess we'll have to wait and see..that was a good question to ask..I don't think CTE ever entered my mind as a possibility because he was always so nice and didn't have anger issues that I know of but he's a few years older than me so I could've missed it..he was friends with my big brother

I'm glad u resurfaced this story as this is an old case I remember from years ago! She was so beautiful and intelligent...my bff was killed n 1994 3months b4 she turned 18yo....her case is closed and her killers have never been caught!/still maybe alive and living in society. Tku so much for covering this case. I remember this case so vividly. It was totally unbelievable. To see....his son looks just like him. So 😢😭. What he tried to destroy is still here n for him to know that his son is disabled as a result of what he has done should be plenty punishment. And to have taken his son's mother's life and all she was wanting to do was give birth to a healthy baby boy in which he helped create 😭😭😭😭😭

The sound was a little too low....great content tho! I remember this story I've seen multiple docs about it and I'm always appalled by his lack of human decency and disregard towards other human beings that he was suppose to love. I didn't know he had rec'd that slap on the wrist until he was being released a few years ago. Her moms is an angel for getting thru the tough times with raising her grandson and at the same time mourning her daughters death😔🙏🏽

Typically in situations like this an order of protection would be placed to prevent the father from contacting his son. So him attempting or not attempting to have a relationship with his son would be irrelevant.

Its great that Cherica's mother was able to forgive Ray and have the strength to raise her grandson but there is NO WAY IN HELL I'D LET RAY SEE THAT YOUNG MAN! I remember this. So sad. Ladies, young ladies be careful who you hook up with. Use protection at all times unless he puts a ring on it..and never ever think someone wants to step up when he's dating many women. If you have to pursue a man for child support there are courts don't physically chase him down. senseless murder and Ray is outta jail now.
