My best friend was in a two year relationship. She cut all of us(friends and family) off for this guy. I used to frock myself to stay up all night to make sure she's ok. I would tell her that she deserves way better. She lost both her kids because of him. Her daughter is with her father, but their son,(her and the abuser's child), is with the abuser's mother. Now that lady is giving my friend a hard time. She keeps sending her to court. A big ass battle custody. She finally has her mind right. Renting a room and got a job. She was never a troublemaker, but because of him she went to jail. It makes me so mad because she called the police on him, but they arrested her too for violence yet all she was doing was trying to protect herself.

One time people asked me about these bruises on my face and arms...I just said I fell... They started to see more and more bruises when they picked me up from my bf house and then it got much more worse that I had to hide a huge bruise on my left eye. They said I had to leave him but I couldn't...because If I did I knew I would be hurt more so now here I am still with that big bruise I say is a birthmark...he moved countries and still tries to give me calls and texts luckily I told a adult and they helped me get rid of any contact with him... I am now FREE OF DATING ABUSE!!! 😀😀

My father was in an abusive relationship. She would yell and beat him and he couldn't do anything about it because he was scared to lose her cause he thought he loved her. She abused him and she abused me. Thankfully I helped my dad through it and he hid leaving her in a month once he gets his taxes to file for a divorce. I hope one day she learns about what she did, and will learn from it. Dating abuse can happen to guys too mostly girls but guys too

Something SO similar to this happened to me a few years ago; I was dating this piece of sh!t guy that of course at the time, I thought was the love of my life, mostly because he told me I was the love of his (I know, pathetic). I auditioned for the Cinderella musical at my high school, and I while I knew that I probably wouldn't get the role of Cinderella, I still wanted to be in the chorus. The day I got my audition song, he texted me and started a long af argument about not wanting me to kiss the prince or hold hands with him if I DID get the role of Cinderella. I told him that in these plays, we just sing and the director chooses our roles for us (which was true) and that I was positive I wouldn't be Cinderella anyway. He demanded that if I'm offered the role of Cinderella, I needed to reject it because he didn't want me to hold hands or kiss anyone besides him. And at first I was just like "I'm not gonna back down from a role I worked hard for, it's just an act, it's not like I'm gonna actually fall for the fake prince, I only love you," but then he said that I was gonna "kill this relationship" if I took the role. So finally I agreed that I'd turn it down if I was offered it. And of course, I didn't get offered Cinderella anyway, but I can't believe that I agreed to turn it down if I DID get it!!! That's how codependent we were (btw, we'd only been dating for about 2 months at this point). I was so scared of losing him, because he'd constantly try to make it look like he loved me. I didn't realize at the time that this was a form of emotional abuse, but now I do and I'm so glad I left.

My sister was being abused by her boyfriend but no one but my bestie suspected it cause we all thought he was the perfect guy.Then a couple of months later I went to his house to get my backpack my sister had took and she had asked me to come get it and also to drive her home but when I got in to his house he was on the couch rapping her and she was screaming. If you are in an abusive relationship, you need to end it ASAP. How would you do it? There are 3 ways to do it. Which way do you think is the best way? A. You could just ignore what you're feeling and try to end that unhealthy and unsafe relationship by acting like a victim (being COLD/PASSIVE) but that might not get you out of that situation and only make it worse. B. You could explode at your abuser and that would probably get you out of that situation but talking back to your abuser and/or acting tough around your abuser (being HOT/AGGRESSIVE) might still make it worse and infuriate your abuser even more. C. You should try to end that unhealthy and unsafe relationship in a calm and controlling manner and get help from someone you trust and the first warning sign of abuse in your relationship would be the time to act COOL/ASSERTIVE.
