I can see how the struggles can be difficult for resident and non-healthcare workers. Or even among healthcare workers when it comes to dating and romance. I guess this applies to veterinarians as well
I am a final year med student and just messed up my relationship (with another med student) one month ago. 😂 it was a hard and challenging relationship tho
hi, they've already made one about nurse practitioners! if you search up 'medschool insiders so you want to be a nurse practitioner', on RU-vid you'll find it. it was posted 2 years ago so sorry if things have changed with the training process since :-)
If the preference of star wars vs star trek a deal breaker for you then please, don't bother getting into a relationship. Thats some grade school preference bullshit
I want to be a doctor but I have a learning disability and I struggle in school but I want to be a doctor do you have any advice for me and I have dyslexia
hey, sorry to hear that issues with school are standing in the way of your dream. i'm not a doctor, I'm just in medical school, and I do have a disability that affects my school work but it isn't a learning disability so sorry if any of the following is not relevant or helpful: - does your current school have departments, services, or staff who can give you extra support such as tinted/coloured overlay paper that you can place over text to make it easier to read or could deliver teaching in settings with fewer students or more teachers to give more attention? - if you need them, have you ever asked for exam accommodations? these are changes made to the way in which you sit exams, for example, increasing the time limit of the exam by 25% to give you enough time to complete an exam if you need more time to read, process information, or write, allowing you to take rest breaks in an exam that don't cut into the time you have left to complete the exam, etc. depending on the country, a lot of medical schools also do this, including mine. - could you work with a professional who specialises in helping students with disabilities, ideally disabilities similar to or the same as yours, do well in school by developing study strategies, assistive tech, etc? ik these can be really hard to find or expensive depending on where you live but maybe you can ask teachers at your school or staff who work in the pastoral department or for the disability service, if you have any of these at your school or at schools near where you are, if they're willing to help you with these things or help you find someone who can. that's all I have for now, I hope some of it is useful and apologise for the long comment. all the best and i wish you good luck in school and your career!
FOR ANYONE READING THIS WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT DATE WOMEN AT ALL. ITS BEST TO BE SINGLE, AND YOU CAN SEE WHY WITH THE NONSENSE STUFF. IF YOU DO WANT TO DATE, HISPANICS LADIES ARE THE BEST :)
I really like this video as it reveals how complicated dating is at the university and the residency level ( I am still in college) but one thing about this video is that the animation only showcase heterosexual couples, does this means homosexual dating in residency is not possible or the team did not display LGBT couples on purpose
@@thugo523 Oh my Bad you are right I did not see those couples since they weren't any flying hearts around them I thought they were classmates , I am happy what I said was wrong and this makes the video content even better
I don't agree with this take. Doctors are humans just as everyone else and considering the numerous time and mental constraints, we may have to go about relationships differently but we shouldn't not have the opportunity. This topic is very relevant to the aspiring physician.
@@kayahardin1640 no any offense to MedSchool Insiders..I love their videos..and I even know its important to talk about it because I, myself am a doctor..never expected MedSchool Insiders would have talked about it😬
@@gaurabgurung9232 I think it's great they talked about it. You may have heard about the crazy rates of physician and student burnout happening recently? Part of that is because many of us don't know how to juggle our careers and personal life at the same thing. Videos like this help us so that we can be fulfilled in every area, not just one.
