Hey Dan I really love your idea about the behavior chart. If I make a date, I'll wait 15 minutes for tardiness and 30 minutes with a phone call and I leave after 30 minutes regardless. As she needs to reschedule with me. I don't permit disrespect. I think I might have a hard time on the chart such as rolling of the eyes and looking at the phone for more than a glance is no go. Most of these, I'll give a warning and after that the date is over. I'd rather be alone than to be disrespected.
It is critical to learn the culture of your significant other when you first meet, court, and marry. This is how you learn the norms of each other. Over time each spouse will be incorporating elements of the others culture without knowing it. This is key to a good relationship bounded by love, friendship, dignity, and respect. This is how to have a good stable relationship... regardless of culture. You need to learn to appreciate those differences, as they make things interesting...rather then dull. Sex will come, and will be beautiful when it occurs under these circumstances. This is part of what John Gottman PhD preaches on having good relationships. My ex asian girl started to disrespect me about money, asking me more and more, as well for "family", telling me she wanted to use mine, that a man should support a lady, lies about her work, i never saw her working, despite she told me she had lot of money. So why do you want to use mine? But despite that she wanted to love and stay with me. I was feeling oppressed, and sucked and controlled, money could be the end of a relationship. Many men with good jobs and income dont care about this to pay and support a lady, i value these factors too sorry.

My GF on occasion has stood me up when we had a planned date. She has many things she is doing and updates me as she goes but the fact that we agreed on a date, on-line as I live in the US and she is in the Philippines, doesn’t work for me. It has only happened a few times in the last several months but it is a lack of respect for me.
Since about 2016, people who believe conspiracy theories as alternate facts have disrespected those who don't believe the same conspiracy theories. At least back in the States, this has been a real problem. It's tearing apart families and relationships. You're so lucky to be overseas, when we have politicians openly talking about a national divorce, which is really their code for a civil war. The politics are toxic back home. Funny thing is, so many of those "conspiracy theories " have been revealed to be true. That's why all the clamoring for censorship. I never would have dreamed people would want that.

I have a Thai wife. I am not religious and Buddhism seems to be very to be tolerant of westerners whatever their beliefs. Like any religion there will be Buddhist holidays, festivals, and requests for donations. Culturally I would say that the practice of “saving face” is hugely important and can lead to cultural misunderstandings, at least at first. Asian cultures are communitarian rather then individualistic. That leads to a dense web of social connections with friends and family. You have to figure out for yourself how to navigate the religious and cultural obstacles but it helps to be aware of the challenges beforehand.
If she's young, she may be able to correct bad behavior, but once in their 30s, the die is usually cast. Making a matrix is probably a bad idea though. The minute you start negotiating desire like that, the train has already left the station - she's not into you, move on and find another.
The whole chart of “punishing” your partner with spending weeks or a month apart is ludicrous. If you feel good while spending a month apart from your love, then you don’t have a love We’re happily married for 43 years. We’re miserable when we’re apart for more than 2-3 days in a row. You either love them and talk these things out, face to face, and deal with them like grown ups, Or they just aren’t for you. I can’t even imagine these chart making type relationships at all. Maybe pick compatibility over youth. Or deal with the childishness.
I've never achieved anything by discussing with girls their poor behavior or threatening consequences. If u make the mistake of taking them seriously and consequently try to punish them for their poor behavior, the only thing which seems to have any effect, is to stop seeing them for a period of time, long enough to make them think that they may have lost u. Unfortunately, if u do that, by the time u decide to end the punishment and start seeing them again, u often find out that they have been dicked by other men in the meantime. So by trying to punish them, u only punish yourself. Therefore IMHO the more rational thing to do is to accept women for what they are, namely beings who do not meet the personality standards men usually have and to therefore decide on a daily basis whether the pleasure u get from them still outweighs the headaches, mental stress and annoyance they cause and if not, to pull the plug on them and move on to the next one in the pipeline, exactly like women do.
SO thoughtful Dan. There is another side that all should consider. Think about this Dan ? Some day no tool. She's younger and still able. How to please her every time so your not wondering from time to time about her needs and age. This solves that. It all has to do with a woman god given biology. I'm 62 i found this out by accident. I liked your opening statement on sex, money and respect. Right up front. I have been told many times that I need to write a brook on how I met my now wife. Way too much work. I got the respect down right off the bat as she spoke better English better than I and that came over many conversations and meeting her mother. One down. I was a scientist with patents so had a few dollars. Found over time she was very well known as an actress and more. So money was off the table. Have no idea to this day how much she makes. She is very strict and supper conservative. This all came easy. Wife is Chinese/Malaysian. So with patients I let it all come together. I observed and learnt much from her from the start. So sex, money, respect came together as I took the time to put the picture together. That all started 27 years ago. Feb 1996. And for another story my wife was once married to a prince as her son is.
