My two favorite phrases when I listen to these stories is " I look much younger than my age" and "the girl never asked me for money I just sent it to her"
@@ThailandBound I have almost no education, but I speak close to fluent English including all sexual innuendos! And that's just me, I'm actuallly talking about the girls.
Hi Peter. I recently discovered your channel. I must say even as a Thai woman the stories are really interesting. I even introduced the channel to my German husband. He also enjoys it. Just want to say thank you. And when the time is right I will send you my own story.
Morning Pete. I really enjoyed these stories (as usual) and the video was great - brilliant quality too - nice to see that you spotted a lady sitting down near the Nana BTS and focussed on her a touch 😂. Always a great way to start my weekend when I’m able to relax. Cheers and catch you in the live stream.
What a great collection of stories, each very different, with lots of learning opportunities. I think my favourite is the first one about owning the massage business, as it is a quite unusual story.
Brilliant stories thank you to everyone who sent them In really enjoyed them.and thank you peter for reading them out.great job as always.enjoy your weekend.best regards damon 👍🏼
I Read and speak Thai and I'm still 50/50 about the first one. I know I wouldn't risk my life here with a business like that. My reading isn't perfect as I'm sure I'm still sure I get some tones wrong but I can understand and be fully understood. It took me over 10yrs and only really got good when we had our daughter's because it was important for our girls for me to understand and help with their studies so I learnt all over again like they did from born as I taught them English and helped with their Thai homework. I still get confused though sometimes, it's a very difficult language.
Peter as usual, great stories. I especially like those that had the potential for long term relationships. It's been a longtime since I've heard of anyone joining the Pattya flying club...... hope to not hear of anymore anytime soon. Cheers
Story 2 was interesting, I wonder how many guys restrict their activities due to fears of catching std’s.Your lessons must be good the guy seemed very clued up on the scene!
When in Bangkok, if you can, spend at least one night at the Atlanta hotel. In all my years of travel it's the most bizarre place I've ever stayed. It's a mosquito factory with a hotel attached to it and has this holier than thou set of rules that are posted every where. The basic premise is that you follow the rules or you can get out.... the Atlanta management doesn't care at ALL what you think. It's supposed to be a no-sex hotel which sits a couple of blocks over from the infamous Nana Plaza. The rooms are as spartan as they can get but very inexpensive. There's a restaurant on the first level that was pretty good. If you like local history, pay a visit. There's lots to see.
When I was outside I noticed several signs on the wall do's and don'ts and people who are not welcome so I tend to agree with what you're saying but I've never been in there myself
like the video of walking trough town. love seeing the 50 something plymouth . probably doesnt run for years but nice to see. the women sweeping street swept up thrash in pile then just left it strange. anyway take care bro love the channel
Have another beer on me, Peter... I'm sitting here outside Gregg's with a coffee and bacon baguette, listening to today's stories. The last one - very wise words indeed. They seem obvious but still so many men, year in, year out, fall for the charms of Thai bar girls. If you are somewhere like Pattaya, you have to keep reminding yourself - she is a prostitute, no more, no less. Harsh, but true. It's been raining (again) but it's actually quite mild today. Going for a swim and sauna with my mate shortly. Have a great day all.... And remember, keep it real, keep it fun, and as Peter always says - she is NOT different!! 😂😊👍❤️
Someone I met once, gave me a very important advice when it comes to learning any language, always learn to read the script, because you cannot rely on phrasebooks to learn the vocabulary. You'll inevitably need to use the dictionary. Also, learn the dictionary order of the alphabets, so that you know how to locate the word. For Thai script, practice writing the alphabets, that way you will learn the significant bits of each alphabet, which will then help you read the stylized Thai fonts (those without the loops). And then, there's the handwriting, that's a lot of fun.
I thought my Thai speaking , writing and reading was pretty good until I had children here and learnt from the basics again with them. You're very right about doing it right as you were a child learning from the beginning because mine is so much better now. It's a very difficult language to just try and learn yourself without using all the basics, starting from the Thai alfabet.
not bad thanks Peter, I would love to send you a few stories later on, I have sidestepped a few buried mines in BKK, but I do not want to brag, I love the car wreck and train wreck stories best, also the near misses that have left the guy a winner and the pro a loser, keep it up and steady on
Thailand is still very cheap compared to your own country take taxes for example you can get from Central Bangkok to Pattaya for about 1,500 baht which is about 40 US dollars 2 hours in a taxi for $40 I bet you couldn't do that in your country
@@ThailandBound yeah but you also can't be a real citizen there and have countless hurdles to banking, land or home ownership, etc. Can you even really own anything in Thailand as an expat? My ex bought a penthouse condo apartment near Icon Siam mall. I understand theres the 51% occupancy rule.. does that mean he still really owns it though? And what about buying a house? How does that work? I have so many questions. Moving to BKK is on my five year plan but I'm wondering how expensive it will be by then and whether it will still be worth it..and if theres any security in moving there at least mostly permanently
No I'm from Australia, it's much cheaper here unless you want to show off living here getting private tables and bottle service and girls every night. I have 2 young girls here in private schools and it's still cheaper than my life would be in Sydney where I'm from as a single guy in the city.
@@ThailandBound I bought 2 condos here when each of our girls were born so they're always set up and have a place in Bangkok for when they go to university. I keep one empty and we live rural in the property my wife owns and they're set up in trust for them. The one 2 bed condo in ekkamai pays the expenses for both and more but I bought 10yrs ago and definitely wouldn't buy if we didn't have children. I just want them set up for when I'm gone. No chance I'd buy as a single guy here unless I was incredibly rich and didn't have to worry about money.
