Hi Leah, I just subscribed to your channel the other day as it turned up on my suggestion screen. Now I watched this interview with Maya. I just turned 60 years old and I have been considering the Philippines as a new home. I'm widowed and just started looking at women again. What I've discovered with Filipinas is that the younger Filipinas tend to speak English better and the "mature" Filipinas tend to not speak English well. Is this impression I have actually true or will I discover that I'm wrong as I meet more Filipinas in the future?
I am 68 year old American man, living here in Dumaguete. I don't understand why these old guys like me go after a young Filipina. I think that A beautiful 40 plus woman is a much better choice as a long-term partner.
I have been very fortunate to find my beautiful Filipina she is amazing,I am 46 and she is....drum roll......43!! Looks much younger then how I see myself, she has 3 beautiful children and I could not be happier!!
Great video Maya. I agree there are pros and cons. But I think as a generalization, dating an older Filipina would be more intellectually stimulating. And it’s true that Filipina’s look 20 years younger. But looks are not the most important factor. Thanks for sharing. 🙏
Hi maya new sub here the problem that i see in dating or marrying a single mom is her attention is much more to her child rather than the man. I prefer a single lady with no kid ages from 25-35 Peace and take care
Nice interview - very helpful. Leah, you are a great example of a more mature and thoughtful lady who would be more attractive to more prospective expat retirees than a Filipina in her early 20’s.
Being mature at 68, Leah and Maya are like teenagers, I’ll tell you you’re only as old as you feel and look. If you take care of yourself and are active and adventurous, you can look and act 25+years younger. I have more energy than others 1/2 my age which I consider a blessing and I don’t waste a minute of my life worrying about aging on and being productive. Leah is a delight to listen to, it was a great interview I wish her all the best for her life. ❤❤️🔥🥰🙏🙌
I'm planning to relocate to the Philippines this summer. My only preference as far as age, is that she be over 25 and that she has "TIME" for me. Older or younger, if she has 2+ kids, the majority of her time is dedicated to her kids... as it should be.

a true loving relationship is therefore possible and mutually shared with an age difference of for example 20 years, but when you are 60 how do you know if you will be able to make your wife happy for a very long time, 20 years or more. for my part I tended to believe that the young person is rather motivated by the financial security that a foreigner can provide... 🇨🇵🫂❤️🇵🇭🙏
Hi, yes I also think the mature perspective is much more attractive and I have a lot of respect for single Mothers. I was raised by a single Mother. I just wanted to say not only are you both very smart and grounded but your pure energy is authentic, if you didn't notice there is a gap in the trees behind you in the shape of a heart. Breaking up a family isn't a good trait if I'm looking to make a new family. That's literally the type of female traits I'm trying to leave in the United States. The Philippines is a destination I was told that still produces traditional ladies worthy of marriage. Is that correct or not?
depends on how you define traditional? are you looking for women who is going to be a plain housewife, no career, just being there for you and takes care of you - yes they exist in the Philippines and there are also women who have careers and businesses, know what you want and go to a place where you can explore and get to know women in these categories :)
The problem with a single mom is the laws in the Philippines that make it illegal to be around a kid without the parent being there. So if the gal needs to do something quickly, and leaves the kid home with me for a few minutes, I can end up in prison. While this is unlikely to happen, it is the reality there. She later gets angry about something she can just go and report me to the police. If the child is over 18 (if I remember correctly) it is OK. 7nder 18 and then ANYONE can report and I am going to prison.
Nice Advice but once I get there, I won't be dating for about 6 months or longer, I have to get used to the culture and lifestyle and get a routine (gym time, learning to get around) and Once I'm comfortable I can let someone in to get to know me.
Hello, your comment made me think this was my comment since my plan is exactly the same as yours. I totally want to get settled with a home and be in a regular exercise routine, etc. and overall adjusted to the way of life in the Philippines before considering dating anyone.
One of the major issues I have come across with older Filipinas is that they are separated and not single but will neglect to divulge this information and many foreign men don't know what a cinamar is or wants to bring it up early in the relationship. A truly single woman with a child is very undesirable to a Filipino man because she has given up her honor out of marriage. You have to decide what you want in your retirement years, and many foreign men have already been married before and don't wish to be married again. Dating in the philippines can be tricky if you are not up front and many women will try to lock you in with a child so use protection or have a vasectomy before you leave your country and have your medical records reflect that. Divorce is not available in the philippines, yet so many women are stuck, which is very sad to see these beautiful, mature women who can't have love in their lives.
One point you didn't mention, which I see in comments on other sites, is the fact that there is no divorce in the Philippines. So unless a single mom can get an annulment, which I understand is very difficult and very expensive, she is still considered "married". That could be a real problem, particularly if the husband is still around and decides to show up. Legally, you could not marry her in the Philippines. Is that correct? I would like to hear your comments on this. (From two lovely ladies who will always look young.)
hey Bob, yes you are right so you have to be careful, normally you can figure it out by getting a CENOMAR (certificate of no marriage) at the PSA to know if she is married in the Philippines. Thats 1 of the important requirements before marrying whether in court or church. So if shes married outside Phils and there is divorce in that country, she can file a divorce in the country where she got married and submit the documents to PSA and voila, she is now single! If she got married in the Phils, she needs to file an annulment before marrying you which can be a challenge but it all boils down to, is she worth it? :)
I say young only because you start with a fresh canvas not one that has been used and abused and can carry many scars and has built many walls up over time!
I’m coming to The Philippines in October. Where’s the best place to meet single Philippino lady’s? I’ve met one lady before in Cebu. Didn’t work out unfortunately but I know the lady’s are lovely and caring. I’d rather an older lady.
40 y/o German/British. I've been in two long term relationships with western women, that didn't result in marriage / kids (both turned out to be mentally rather unstable and were only concerned with self-fulfilement and didn't want to compromise on this for a man/kids). I'm 5'8 and not very gifted looks wise, despite my other qualities (educated, creative, many interests, lead engineer, career, wealth building etc.) has severely limited my chances at dating in the west. I will eventually inherit the generational family house, so I've always hoped to continue the family with my own kids. Now this seems to have become almost impossible. I haven't, and I don't want to use my wealth openly, I am not interested in a gold digger scenario. I am keen for a genuine partner that wants to take on the world together as a team. So this makes me wonder what options I have in the Philippines. It is often mentioned not to bring her back to the west. This would mean for me to leave my family and the house behind, which is something that I'm not too happy about. On the other hand, I'm well travelled, culturally open minded, having lived abroad for years, so I see the appeal of moving to PH for good. So I wonder if there really isn't any chance for a Philippina to come to Germany and NOT become a gold digging, man hating, hypergamous disaster, resulting in divorce etc. Also, do short, ugly men have a better chance of dating there? All countries in the west I've travelled before it was pretty devastating. My other qualities didn't matter at all. Also, do girls mostly want Americans, or move to America, or would they consider Germany as well? Is Germany known as a country, or viewed positively by Filipinas?
Many think guys just want (youthfulness) for "control." I believe its more they just want "peace," "calmness," and respect...so if "mature" offered this thats great. ..
Get rid of wind noise by using noise cancelation Bluetooth mics. If you can get four, this will allow you to interview three to five people at once. It really removes most all other noise around you.
Great conversation. I never would've thought Leah was in her 40's. Shes very beautiful. Honestly, I would go for a older mature Filipina, i feel that we'd have more in common than a younger woman, not to take away from the younger Filipinas.
she looks good for her age....its biology not gender....according to Obgyn's after age 30 a woman has lost 90 percent of her eggs...women are born with a finite number of eggs that can be fertilized to create children. After age 35 is considered Geriatric pregnancy...after age 45 it is considered high risk....more risk of birth defects etc....
The age can be a flipping coin it's more of a individuality then age you can get a woman younger and is more mature than the older or the older who you see the package of her past mistakes or the younger unfit for relationship paths it's more the person regardless of age.
if you date an older Filipina, that means YOU are their last hurrah...that's a big responsibility. Better to date 18 to 24 so they have time to find a new man if you die or it doesn't work out. But 30 to 45 is good too.
I, being almost 60, don't see why a guy my age would want such a young gal. The maturity to know what you want out of life isn't there yet. At least not in USA. And I am sure there are some young people that are more mature than some older gals, but by and large I would have more in common with someone closer to my age. I would think 30 would be the very minimum I would want.
I am not young, and I can not understand why guys my age would want a young female in her early 20's. I would not consider anyone under 40. I have seen many women over 40 that I find physically appealing. Being a simple guy, I want someone I find appealing, is nice, and physical (if you know what I mean).
But will a single mum Filipina let a an older Western Man be a proper Dad to. her children if he chooses to take on that responsibility when he marries her ?
I don't care about energy or adventourism (is that a word ☺), I couldn't care less actually. Still, I probably wouldn't go for anything else than a young lady regardless of where I am. That's just the way it is, anything else would just be like living a lie. That's why I left the West.
My question to you ladies is this...why is sex education and birth control not talked about and taught at early ages there??? why is it kept in the dark? if you haven't noticed you have more and more younger filipinas getting pregnant and being single mothers..just as here in the West only for different reasons...why is this not s talked about and open and honest discussion and in the school classes there?
From what I have read and watched is that sex is a taboo for Filipinos to openly talk about so there is no education on it at all. If you look as well they do not like to use condoms as well which would cause more young ladies getting pregnant. I will not say all of them because that is rude but it seems like they try to capture the hearts of men through sex. They might fall in love with you at first but then when they get to know you it is time for them to go. When you find them still going to the bars and do not like it. Then they leave with there baby but I guess it is better then hear in the US where it is ok to just have an abortion. But what do I know. Hopefully a little helpful. Best wishes to you.
I think for long term relationship is important to find match. I love sport, she needs to love sport. I am adventure in the bed. She needs to be adventure in the bed. Similar age group, energy level...understand to have freedom:)
Since I don't want any more children of my own, a single mum would in many situations be perfect. The only problem I see with a single mom, is what kind of relationship will you have with the kid(s)? Coz some aspects about rising a kid in the west and in Asia is somewhat different. So should I put a lot of time, effort and money in to a kid that I am not alaud to be a father figure for and have nothing to say since I am not the biological father?
Once they drain you of funds, there bf you will never know about will have you knocked ,then he can move into your house with your wife,seen it several times.
Personally as a 61 year old American man , I am not at all interested in 20/30 something’s. Yes, they may be physically attractive but they don’t have the mental or emotional compatibility I seek.
