Ah, I just love this! I got an 15 year parked 1982 yellow Datsun king cab 2x4 long bed. I can't wait to get it on the road for people to see.

My mates metal fab workshop has a 1990 Navara ute, with a carby 2.4 motor that looks similar to the one in the 720 in this vid, talk about a reliable motor! Its been abused for 20 years by tons of apprentices and mechanically unsympathetic blokes, mufflers blown up doing key bangers etc and it just keeps on going!

I have a Datsun 1984 petrol 720 dual cab and when I got it i have loved it ever since and i am slowly fixing the motor i will not part with my girl i have named her stella after my nan who i loved very much i have not seen a 720 dual cab in Launceston tasmania

Crop Duster it’s actually a truck, as the cab and tub are separate and bolt to the chassis.

@GrassRoots Garage Also a term imported from America, for the scene, not the vehicle. Using this logic, an AU Falcon Ute would be a truck, because bolt-on tub.

ArchimedeanEye I [Pete] call everything but mini trucks utes. Lowered “mini truck” style I call truck. Just my opinion, each to their own 👌👍👍
