I just met my second grandson, who is a preemie. My daughter has been video chatting with me since he was born. And sending pictures galore. But when I saw him with my own eyes, I couldn't believe how tiny he really is! He is truly a blessing, just like all babies. I'm so happy for this mom and new family!
Since five months I'm a grandma and I'll never forget the feeling I had to see and hold my first grandchild. I'm going to be a grandma again in about two months and I know it'll be as great as the first time. I became a grandmother March 19th to a baby girl. My daughter and son in law wanted their privacy during the birth of the baby. We respected that BUT...at 2am that morning I had the overwhelming feeling that my daughter was in labor. I didn't want to call her cell so I called the hospital to see if she was registered as a patient. To my shock I was told "Yes ma'am she is in Labor and Delivery 2, would you like me to connect you?". I declined and just sent a text to my daughter. "I know you are busy. Just wanted to let you know I am here if you need me. We love you. Call us when you are ready for us..by the way. Mother's intuition is real". 9 hours later we got the video call from the recovery room after an emergency c section. We were holding our precious angels within the hour. I can't get enough of that sweet baby. We visit at least once weekly (They live an hour away). I was so excited to become a grandmother...and it's totally awesome!!

I have a picture of my wife holding our newborn granddaughter in the hospital. I've never seen a more pure expression of love and gratitude than that which illuminated her face that day.

Nothing more thrilling than seeing your grandchild(grandchildren) for the first time. It changes you as a devoted matriarch to your family. EVERYTHING on earth matters far more as soon as you meet them. Not sure how I got so lucky and blessed, but I have 16 of my own, and they mean the entire world and far beyond to me.

By just looking at some of the actions, i am 200% sure that the grandmum will love her grandson. She never raised the tone of voice and did not want to wake up the baby. She immediately wore a mask to prevent any virus/ germs accidentially passing to the newborn. ❤ very lovely. God bless. Love with action, but not words only.
