Richard Webber is a father to meredith...he was with her in thin and thick...he loved Ellis, more than that he respected Ellis as a doctor as a women, he took care of meredith all these years...even after Christina leave meredith...Derek died...but Richard was always their to look after meredith... Thatcher never care about mer all he care about his another family...for him mer never existed... I want to see 2018 meredith, season 15 mer with thatcher and how she deals with thatcher...bcs frankly season 2 and 3 mer was train wreck....she was devastated, frustrating and don't know what to do in her life...back then I never liked her character...but the way her characters evolved in all these years, the way she dealt with so much...and become the best surgeon in grey sloan...I respect today's meredith character who is clam and passionate...I want too watch that calm and passionate meredith with her estranged father thatcher...how she reacts...

You've done such a great job with this! I liked the intro because I think it reflected how Richard is more of a Dad to her than Thatcher is. Great editing and use of the song. You rock.

I think everyone with a father like that piece of .... knows how Meredith feels and Lindsay for that matter. It's a great clip! Tnx. So even if he did send a card every year, it doesn't works like that... he did nothing he just left... And im al ready done with picking the pieces behind him. Im al glued together now, he doesn't have the right to come back and be a part of my life again... He lost that right when he closed the door behind him.

Thatcher was a weak and awful man.

I personally think Thatcher was a complicated man. It’s The slap, he was upset his wife died, he lashed out on Meredith because she was there. How about the scenes together when he wasn’t drunk or grieving?
