Great video, Daut. You're right about people underestimating distrupting eco and forcing vill and TC idle time. Also looking forward to Hera and Vipers reaction videos.
Hola DauT!
Love these guides, thank you Daut. Since there are so many possible situations, I'd love to see short 1-3 minute follow up videos for how to think about specific situations. Maybe a MAA playlist with this as the first video. Follow up videos e.g. What if opponent is walled by the time MAA reaches, or what if opponent has his own militia - when to upgrade to MAA, or add more militia, or just trade militia?
In most cases you will not need horse collar and won't be able to do it. But the way to get man@arms+doublebitaxe+villager is setting up a goal to reach 250food before reaching feudal age. how? usually keeping 5-6 on the wood until reaching feudal. You should still reach feudal age with close to enough or with enough wood to build an archery range. Then blacksmith and fletching. But if you want to get an archer out with fletching already you might have to skip double bit axe. That might work in rare cases but it's not my playstyle.
Nice video, I think adding a build order at the end or beginning would add to the value. Sure we can look it up but it would be nice to have you explain some variants and your prefered timings. Also maybe include map types, where M@A are especially strong/weak?
What does Daut say here in this sentence at 01:04 - "The main mistake players make when they see opponent going for archers is using man at arms ???? army", I can't understand what he says at the end there
A very nice brief overview on the basics of why. Think this is a good video for people coming in to see why you would use this strat, looking forward to more if they're on the way.
I'm sure man at arms won't rush the TC on their own while i leave them unattended for "one second" now that I have this information. But honestly this is a great guide, I feel like now I have a better chance to get a useful outcome with men at arms instead of just wasting resources.
Really enlightening video. But I have one question: when i lose map control against archers and scouts and then have to defend with skirms behind walls the faster Castle Age doesnt look that exciting. I have no units to upgrade no map control and no Stone to add eco either.
Thanks daut i understand sll yout guide , men at arms, franks amd dpsnosh, you are a good teacher, hera smd viper create alot of muths and noise in theor channrl but teach nothing, you are the real teacher. Thanks make more like these.
