In man coverage, Jaylon Johnson allowed 4 catches on 7 targets for 47 yards and 1 TD against Davante Adams Adams was also flagged once for offensive PI. Adams finished with 10 catches for 121 yards and 2 TDs in the game (not all against Jaylon Johnson. Who won the matchup? 🤔
Well Johnson had a ton of help that first half but Adams still won this matchup. Chicago should’ve kept playing cover 2 shell not like The packers were hell bent on running the ball that first half. Bruh it’s like the bears sacrificed their secondary 😂😂 took the bracket coverage off key players and boom Adams ate him up
As a packer fan, Johnson did a great job on Adams. It's hard to cover Adams and even harder with Rodgers throwing. Without Johnson, Adams probably has gotten 200 yards.
@@JordanR34948 No did not. He chose to reconstruct his contract in 2020 to help with the cap space. Him being released from Chicago was one of the most disrespectful moves they committed during the Ryan Pace regime.
adams last td, that initial look towards the qb after his step off, getting the db to think the ball was already coming his way really sold the fake to the outside....then running it back inside for the actual pass is really genius. so many things can go into route running to create seperation, couple that with adams' actual release off the line, its no wonder hes the best wr.
I think that play was always gonna be open unless Adam's makes a bad read, I think that's an option route, it's either gonna be a fade or slant and this dude Rodgers always puts it on the money
@@Jack-id5gm that’s even better, yeah I was like confused because I don’t remember him giving up 47 yards, so u prob right, he did a really nice job against adams
Ramsey lined up against adams 25 total times and held him to 5 catches on 43 yards. Don’t forget the other times adams would run from Ramsey by motioning away from the smoke😹
Ramsey matched up a lot against him dude, just didn't do it every play because of the Rams defense. Nobody is gonna shut down Adams hes the best in the league. Being a receiver is easier than being a corner.
Smfh lmao y'all say anything up here. Ramsey lined up against Adams 25 out 45 pass plays and gave up 41 yards. Adams is elite and shutting him down completely is damn near impossible. I'm pretty sure if this was Ramsey you wouldn't be this nice 🤣🤣
Lifelong Packer rooter. The Bears are a work in progress. Many good young players. They need management and coaching and need to give a long term contract to a head coach to continue to build this team. Quinn, Mack, Montgomery and Fields can make the Bears contenders. Offensive line pass protection should be a priority.
This video literally shows what Adams did when he was covered by Johnson (Not a lot) and Packer fans are saying Adams cooked him and Johnson sucks. I feel like a lot of Packers fans are casual fans who started watching in 2010 and have never seen any other games where the Packers weren't playing except for the Super Bowl every year.
Hell of a performance from Johnson, coming from a Packers fan here. He frustrated Adams brilliantly for large parts of the game. There are just some fights you can't win though. Fuck FIBS.
Jaylon did the best that I've seen someone do against Adams in 2 years. He definitely had him for most of the first half but Davante won down the stretch. I would say it seemed even between the two but Davante's stats on the night say otherwise.
You can argue that The NFC north has two of the top 5 receivers in the league right now with adams, and Jefferson.Paying against those two twice a year will definitely make you Better player jaylon
my boi jaylon johnson is one of the up an coming CB in the league. go vote for him for a pro bowl spot if you think he deserve it. I know he really want that pro bowl under his belt. He a good guy who really want to be the best.
As an objective packers fan I can say that the offensive PI call on Davante was correct, but it made me wonder why they dont call that more often, cause guys like Hopkins for example use there arms way more than Davante does and they somehow never get flagged for it 🤔 not trying to throw shade on D-Hop, but I think it would be better for the sport, cause DBs get flagged for PI when all they do is just slightly grab or push the receiver which seems wrong imo
Haha.. Dude had over 100 yards and that TD slant was sick. You can't turn like that if you're hurt. Lol.. and tell Adam not to look for flags everytime he doesn't catch the ball. This kid is a baller but he's with the wrong team. I hope my Bucs take notice and go after him.
@@Asynurr no he wasn’t, hand fighting happens a lot of streak/outside releasing deep routes at the point of attack. Adams was attempting to push off and Johnson fought back, refs let them play for it
@@Asynurr Tae was trying to push off, JJ was grabbing to get into a position to play the ball as a result of the pushing off Refs let them play through it which was a good call in my opinion JJ just won those reps which is why they moved him to the slot
They bears should give him a huge contract that way it stunts the team from doing anything else like that really reliable, plays all the time Khalil Mack guy. Chicago is one rediculus move from having their ducks in a row
It don’t matter cause the Bears lost. JJ is great and I’m glad they have him, but in todays NFL it’s impossible to win with 1 good corner and bunch of bums. You’ll soon see teams with 3 CB1 types and less positional LBs. I’m this NFL, it’s how long can you guard through progressions vs how long it takes your front to get pressure. If you can trot 3 guys like JJ out there, you can make your rush look a lot better. My biggest problem with that draft was the Bears drafting Kmet when Diggs was right there. A Diggs/JJ CB duo would be insane.
That was not a penalty. Then on the offensive pass interference collinsworth was bitching. That call was right too. The no call on the bottom sideline pass was completely right and the offensive pass interference call was completely right
If you could ever “win” against Adams, I’d say Johnson did. Sometimes in sports there is a special athlete that simply cannot be stopped, no matter what. Adams is one of those guys. Johnson did as well as anyone will ever do against a healthy Adams. If you don’t consider it winning only giving up 4 catches to the #1 ranked PFF receiver than I don’t want to talk sports with you.
On the Td play.. jaylon should’ve pressed him. That’s bad technique and coaching. You can’t let him get his feet going without disruption the timing. Flat out a bad choice by us and a great play by the packers.
Adams won. If JJ was good enough to cover him everywhere, he would have, so the number of targets and catches that were on him or not on him doesn't matter. DA cannot be stopped.
Wow.. It's so hard to play defense now days man like It's not even fair. They turned this game into a video game. Everytime a corner try and play physical then them receiver expecting a Flag. Thats sad.
Maybe because you can’t grab a WR mid route. It’s in the video JJ was grabbing and holding Tae 2 times. They called a PI on Tae and the other was a no call.
@@Rubzplaysbrawl whatever adams did not against jaylon johnson is beyond the post 😂 it was a matchup not overall play and johnson held his own when 1 on 1 with adams 🤡 everyone knows rodgers owns the bears but this not an aaron rodgers themed post dfoh
Keep in mind Adams is playing on an injured hamstring…..and still burned the secondary for over 100 yards…. And there was two missed PI’s and a complete bullshit offensive PI
@@joeinnocente2219 people dont like OPI but they need to start calling them more often vs just the defense. Its disgusting how much receivers get a way with. Anything for the ratings
Comments are crazy because if this was Ramsey y'all wouldn't give him props y'all would say Adams is his daddy 🤣🤣🤣. Adams had 41 yards against Ramsey and these comments were saying he got cooked 🤦🏾♂️ lmao
@@fallenthedweeb9938 heavy on the completely biased. I presented stats from next gen and they were still saying he got cooked but jaylon Johnson did a great job?? Jaylon is only getting better but Ramsey gets a lot of hate even when he does well
@@teeemm9456 I understand and I myself don't like loudmouth players but he backs it up on the field. That's the only reason people try to find ways to diminish and downplay his work on the field. These comments are an example. If Ramsey gives up 8 for 40 yards he got cooked but jaylon did great. Lmao Ramsey gets hate...a lot
@@NatTurnergrandsonChrisdorner yea, but JJ in actual coverage, Adams was 2/5 with 1 TD for 19 yards according to next gen. That's a pretty good number against NFL WR1, regardless of what Ramsey did.
For all y’all saying Adams got locked up. No he did not. It’s multiple times in the video he cooked JJ with his route running and got open Rodgers just didn’t throw the ball. Those 2 passes when Adams didn’t catch when one was a flag and the other wasn’t. That was BS. You can’t grab a WR mid route. JJ got away with PI on one of those for sure the other is questionable.
