I just hit 3,000 miles today on my 2024 Stingray HTC. Mine is the 2LT,non Z51,GT 2 seats, mag ride, front lift, low rear spoiler. I went with white exterior and red and black interior. Love it! I just bought some after market splash/mud guards from Paragon Performance that I need to install. Note...you can also shut the door by grabbing the loop and slamming it. Avoids touching the outside of the door.
Congrats, Dave! I think you definitely made the right choice. Growing up we had a 1976 Charcoal Grey Stingray and a 1980 Bubble Back Midnight Blue Vette. Great memories. Enjoy yours!
I think you made the right choice on both counts. Not only are you unlikely to make up the price difference, that is one more allocation that could have gone to a new client of yours who then gives you additional business (either personally or referrals). As far as Silverado EV, in addition to risking chargeback, my experience with first year models have not been the best. Whenever I have had them they tend to have bugs that need to be worked out, features that people realize after the fact should have been had or are unnecessary, etc.
We have 5 of the work truck Silverado EV. With discounts they’re around 68k. Paid 70k for my loaded Silverado 1500 ZR2. Pricing is no where close for me to justify buying a EV truck. Especially since it can’t off-road. Anyway congrats on the new toy 🚗
Fantastic Dave! Congratulations on the ‘Vette! Definitely made the right decision over the truck. Wait for the bugs to be fixed and get it in a year or two!
Hi there. I seriously love your corvette. Best of luck with this gorgeous vehicle. I think you made the perfect choice!!!! Love your videos and have watched every one of them.
Dave congratulations on your new corvette,! I think you made the correct decision on the corvette in both cases. You may also after the 3 years trade your bolt for the Silverado EV. I enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work. I look forward to your next video.
That car is amazing looking. I love the rear of the car. I do not like the large wings on the back of Corvettes. You car is exactly how I would have built it out. You definitely made the right decision! Congrats!
1000% right decision getting the Vet, and it’s a great build! Congrats Dave - enjoy the car!! I’m a fellow tall guy at 6’6”. I can’t seem to fit in the Vets - the top of the windshield is on my sight line. I’ve not been able to sit in the C8 but the previous models weren’t close. Major bummer as I’d get one in a heart beat (the orange for sure!!).
I think you made the right choice! Car regret is the worst and has happened to me multiple times due to impulse decisions. If you’re happy that’s all that matters.
If you would have gone with the truck you would have been so upside down on the thing a year or two later if it follows the trajectory of most electric vehicles these days, it would have only been worth about 70k a year from now
I think you made the right choice going with the C8. NJ doesn’t have great incentives on EVs at the moment and especially with the MSRP of the Silverado EV I believe it wouldn’t qualify for them either. I also have a reservation for one but I’m reconsidering just simply due to the cost it’s too expensive but I’m waiting to see what happens.
Yes, the Silverado is too expensive for the current $2000 NJ Credit. The one good thing is there still is no sales tax on EV's so that saves about $7,000
Everything is relative. I think the driving experience for the price is a good value. If you can’t have fun with this beast you’re probably not breathing anyway. Oh for about 20 laps at Daytona! Congrats and enjoy. My wife would kill me (but I have 9 lives).
Awesome ride! The wings in the back of the Z06 and ZR1 are kool and all but I'm much prefer the streamline look of yours. Can't wait for your full review. 🚙🇺🇸🚙🇺🇸🚙
Sounds to me like you made the right decision. If you go out to your garage to just look at it, it is definitely the right choice. I recently bought an SUV and I always just go out to the carport just to admire the vehicle bought. I like that you will just keep it as it is. I like everything about the car, the red exterior, seats are really nice, rear spoiler a good touch.
I sort of agree at the moment. If I went with the Silverado EV it would have been a 10 year commitment. I could just as easily continue to drive the Bolt as my daily
@@DaveBsellsChevy That sounds like a good plan Dave. I really enjoy your videos. I love some of the Chevy cars but until my wife retires from Ford in 10 years I am stuck driving Fords. Enjoy your new car and I cant wait to see some of the content. Be Safe.
Congrats Dave. Like your choices, would work for me. If fact my wife asked me last week if I still wanted a Vette. Had one in the mid 70's. I said prob not. that time has passed.
Yes nice car and have great luck with it 😊 🎉 I told you that I live in NJ my whole life out side of Philadelphia , in Cherry Hill the poorest section near the mall. I am looking to get new vehicle.
Hey Dave love the new car . I still miss mine . I wanted the Eray but wasn’t sure it’s worth 40K more so I might myself go back to the Stingray . 2Lt is perfect and I also didn’t get the Z51 because I’ll never track it plus in NY/NJ I wanted the all season tires . PS your Dads Camry runs great !
I gotcha. Bolt and a Vette are a nice combination. Until the end I thought you were getting the Silverado EV too, and I wondered why have "3 cars at once"? That's a lot of money tied in depreciating assets.
Congrats! Enjoy the car. Unless you needed the cargo capacity and towing abilities, your Bolt is a MUCH better EV to keep around than a giant pickup truck for sure.
Congrats! Enjoy the car. Do you plan on keeping all 3 cars? The Bolt, the Vette and the Silverado EV? You must have quite the roomy garage to be able to do that!
