@@RockyRockthrow well bag what do you expect from a peice of shit actor who cries like a baby.i dont care about his sob story.he needs to put on big boy pants and get a real job and stop playing pretend.
Everything I need to know about Dave is summed up by this: House show in Anchorage, Alaska. It was late, pretty much all of the stars had left, fans too, but there was a not small crowd waiting out back to try and get autographs. It was the middle of winter, so NOBODY stuck around...except Dave, who signed any and everything for about 45 minutes, chatting it up and taking pictures before the crowd thinned out. This was fairly early in his WWE run (Cena was still heel rapper, to give perspective), but it always struck me as pretty cool. I've been a fan since!
Dave worked out at my gym (Olympus Gym of Sterling VA, and Falls Church, VA)) and I will say that he was the nicest, most polite man that lifted there. He was actually a very quiet person and seemed almost shy. I had been told that he'd had a hard life growing up, but I knew no details until now. I like the big guy. Did then and do now.
I was introduced to wwf-wwe when i was like 1 in a half. Then i played call of duty at 2 or 3 and i watched wwe. I was introduced to batista from my mom cuz my mom was a fan of batista and my mom started watching wwf in somewhere around 2000s
I've been watching him since 2002, when he debuted. Its incredible to see where his career has gone but he's good at what he does. Its crazy how soft spoken he is for such a gigantic man.
@@demonNthesn0w Most rappers talk about coming from the streets and seeing violence every day, but end up being from some rich gated community in Connecticut.
I too can feel dave on the education aspect. I quit school beginning my junior year. Was bullied and teased and the like. At 18 I left an abusive home life due to a crazy stepdad and a mother that just let him do almost whatever as long as he picked up her bad checks from living outside her means (caviar dreams on a Milwaukee's best budget) and joined the carnival and travelled the country for 11 years. In 2013 I returned to school and got my GED ,got a better paying job than the gas station I worked at for 8 miserable as hell years then in 2017 they sent me back to school for training and certification in my field by the only nationally recognized training course in my trade. For anyone that tells you you can't do something take both this comment and this video as proof that you can do ANYTHING you set your mind to.
Dave, you're a legend as far as I'm concerned. After watching this video and learning more about some of the difficult obstacles you have faced in life and had to overcome I couldn't help but reflect on my own life. Although my life may not have been as difficult in the same ways as yours, my growing up wasn't always what I would have wished for in a lot of ways. Like many people, I've seen a lot of hard times and setbacks. I lost my dad at the age of 17 in a car accident which got my adult life off to a not so great start. And it seems many times when I get ahead one step I go back two. But I believe you made the right choice telling Triple H and Stephanie to shove it. I miss watching you wrestle on WWE because you were a true legend in every sense of the word. Loved that Batista Bomb, the Batista trademark. But Dave I look at your life and the challenges you had to overcome and it gives me the spirit and motivation to keep moving forward myself. Hats off to you with the happiness and success you have found doing movies. You're a true and real deal man, and I respect that. Best wishes Dave.
Didn't know he lost a brother. That's really hard. I remember when he started showing up on Smackdown. He had an impressive physique and an intimidating look. It makes sense that he has become successful because of his physical attributes, but his characters are also enjoyable and his delivery style works great. Keep up the good work, Dave!
I had the honor of training directly next to him in a Jiu Jitsu gym about 8 years ago. At the time I didn't know who he was, I found out after he left who he was. Everybody laughed at me for not knowing. I was just perplexed by his size. In person he's a big dude...I'm 6'3 so I'm not used to people being bigger and taller than me. This guy was like a machine! Between Jiu Jitsu drills when us normal humans took the 90 seconds they gave you to cool down and catch your breath...Bautista was running in place while doing squat thrusts. Then went right on into the next drill with no rest. He is almost sub-human! It's not just the stamina that is mind boggling...no, it's also the fact he is gigantic! To be that big and have that much endurance is absolutely impressive! I talked with him after and he was super cool and laid back. He treated me like we were just two regular guys chatting. When I went home and googled him I was floored he was that famous. He was so modest you would have no clue he was famous. That guy deserves the wealth and fame he has. He is definitely a true class act!
As a man I must confess we should never take a fight or cause problems for other men because we never know the hardships other men are going through. Malencricity Rules forever Amen
What a fascinating story. He presents a odd but likeable persona in the movies. How could anyone not be happy for this man, who's been through a lot of challenges in his life?? So i hope he continues to keep his head straight. Go Dave. Go!!
I have loved the timing/attitude / & effectiveness of his "spinebuster", also being a part leading to his "Bautista bomb". GOTG hasn't explained how his character; "Drax" was created and I also wanter the golden wrist bands in there.
@bee boo fuck outta here with that most whites can't relate shit, privileged people can't relate, yes there are blacks, Asians and Indians aswell who are privileged not just whites
I can relate to him in his addiction to women. From 17 to 24 (now), I was addicted to chasing women one after the other. It's a problem that doesnt get much recognition.
The filmmaking industry will always have room for somebody like Dave, a brute force tough guy, so I'm glad he got into acting. He's really not a bad actor either he'll get better with time
I like the guy thought he was he was badass and tough but what I really like most about the guy is. When the director of Guardians of the Galaxy came onto fire and got fired you're so, if you made years prior. Batista stood up for him even if it would have cost him his own job. This is a guy who is definitely stand up. What more can you ask of your friendsThen loyalty? And I don't even know for a fact that they were friends. So he stood up for his boss. Even when it may have cost him his job. And possibly even his career. More than anything else this impresses me about Batista.
I agree entirely. I also think what adds to his class is that he is honest and open about his flaws and has clearly worked hard to correct them. As for the association with looking a certain way in relation to someone's intelligence, there are many kinds of intelligence if you ask me, and one's academic accomplishments don't make someone smart or the opposite. Bautista seems like a really intelligent guy in many ways, and his not graduating senior year of high school doesn't mean he lacks the traditional intelligence that many might think of. He seems like a worldly kind of guy who learned a lot over time and his experiences seemed to have enriched him as a person, and I don't just mean street-smarts.
I still remember the day when john cena became wwe champion and show up on smack down after batista won the heavyweight championship,it was my favorite moment
Bro the man is taking his mom on private jets and he says he want to relive life for education and probably just become an accountant with his grade 😂 wtf I respect it though
Hope we get to see him in many more movies! Drax is awesome with his dead-pan expressions and unfunny sense of humour! Just love the character and how Batista plays it 👍❤❤ Rock on, big guy ✌😁
Dave is a great person in person. Met him while I was doing security in Winnipeg and actually in Calgary doing the same. Loves those kids of his that is for sure. Tried talking me into wrestling but I did my thing because I loved doing what I did and it was worth it. He never did drugs and do not know what they are talking about. I know he was not a drinker that is for sure. Just an all around nice guy that had some personal stuff to deal with but then don't we all!!
I miss him as a wrestler I know he’d be better off in the movie industry but when I saw him come back for a wrestlemania run I was hoping he would stay longer for awhile.
I deal with dyslexia too. I was never diagnosed as a child though, my parents just didn’t care I guess. I always assumed it would get better & now here it is, I’m 40, & it’s just as bad as it’s ever been.
im dyslexic. caused me so much trouble in life. didnt know i had it until i dropped out of high school. luckily, most dyslexics become artists.. and that is what ive always been.
I met Batista in 04 when I was at Walter Reed AMC in Washington DC I thought he was very down to earth type considering the fame & was happy to see someone that has that veteran support he is definitely a beast when standing next to him though I wish him much luck & support in whatever he does
He sure was a mess for a while. I never heard of him until Guardians of the Galaxy, and I fell in love with him. I hope he's genuinely happy now, and I'd love to see him in more movies.
He's had so much going on behind the scenes with his daughters, that's a tragedy of it's own. Not to mention the financial problems he had which seem to be cleared up. But unfortunately he added another divorce this year. I read "Batista Unleashed" many years ago, the story that happened after the book is far more rough though.
I have been a fan of Batista for a long time, knew most of the stuff told here, but then again there where few more thing extra added. Even liked the puns here and there. This wasn't a waste like looper or watchmojo video. You got a new subscriber.
@@AlTheRelic yeah I don't understand how his life is tragic. My family hear in ca turned into a gang for many years. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. You start out defending your neighborhood cuz your to poor to move. Then you know.
Robbing, fighting, and losing siblings while growing up is not normal, no matter what you think. That's the problem with growing up that way.. most of you don't get out of it and just repeat it with your kids. Dave applied his talents in a professional way after realizing he had nothing and wanted more.
@@dragonwarriorht When I met the asshat, in STL, for no reason, he gave me a dirty look. You'd think I said something offensive or something. I didn't know saying "Good luck" to someone was offensive. I use to be a WWF/E fan. At least, during the Attitude Era. There was literally no reason for that asshole to give me [a fan] a dirty look. Like, really asshole? I'm part of the reason why you have a goddamned paycheck, and yet, you're gonna get huffy just because I say "good luck" to you? It was especially satisfying, thus, when it was revealed that The Undertaker beat his ass later. Conceited, cocky, arrogant asshole. Smh. Maybe if he weren't such a dickweasal to the fans, he would've been more well liked.
While I realize that use of the term, "Tragic," is here because it likely boosts interest in viewing the video itself, I think we can all acknowledge and agree that no success story is written without some amount of hardship and overcoming of adversity along the way. Bautista is a success, and he worked hard to get where he is. He deserves his fame, and he has my respect.
True underdog story, very inspiring to see what he made of his situation with the cards he was delt with in life, despite of everything life throws at you,he is a positive example that nothing is impossible.
WOW! can't believe that Dave Bautista had a rough life while growing up!!!! Its a huge shock that Bautista's mom was A lesbian whom was in relationships with other women after separating from Baustista's father!!!!
Dave is a fantastic guy. And I miss him from wwe.i hope his film career takes off big time.he has played some great parts since leaving wrestling.i wish him all the luck in the world. John UK.
I saw his special on wwe films about his neighborhood he grew up in and about how he really loved his wife back when they were still married but I didn’t know about a lot of this other stuff namely the dyslexia! It takes a lot to speak out on something like that and he has done an amazing job as a spokesperson on many topics! I love big Dave and wish him nothing but the best on all future endeavors
I think he's a great guy...always liked him and wish him all good..."You're a trooper Dave Batista...keep up the great work man...YOU DEF HAVE FANS WHO LOVE YOU!!!!!
