His show is a masterpiece. So raw and vulnerable. Can’t even put a genre to it. While I and many others are anticipating the next season, we’re definitely due for his next album. 6 years is a long hiatus

I disagree... well, what I mean is it WOULDN'T have been a good album. Hes stated that he basically worked on season 1 and 2 back to back, and works 7 days a week. You woulda got a crap album, half assed and rushed out just to capitalize on a cash grab. Not very dave like. So.. not really a fumble, just a necessary reality. But yes, in a perfect world an album woulda been a great combo.
