Dave Courtney made a short film in the 80s called A Bermondsey Boy where he collected two debts, one he shouted at a house full of squatters to vacate, they all looked like 15 year old melts, second debt was off a 70 year old war veteran and big Dave took all his money off him after threatening to take the frightened confused old veterans TV. Dave thought it was hilarious. What a character! Great actor, you'll find his movies in the bargain bin at Aldi.

Frank Bruno was hosting "an evening with" locally a year or so ago. He arrived, buzzed the barrier and politely asked could he could park under the barrier. He was the star of the show, but was still humble enough to ask, not demand like many of the arseholes do.

I had 100% respect for Carlton until the day he called himself a celebrity gangster, why destroy a humble reputation in 2 words!?

Fair play to these boys making money from their stories! Of course you can't judge who's hard who's not it's almost impossible! These boys were most likely doorman/enforcer bullies not real hard men! How do you judge a hard man? If two men fight and no one else interferes then the winner would normally earn respect of the loser. But for me a hard man is one who raises his children, protects his family and busts his balls off working an honest job! Try breaking into his house in the middle of the night and see what happens to you!

I reckon there were a lot of wannabe hard men in the audience that day. You know the sort; leather jacket, crew cut, like to swear a lot and drink even more. The kind of guys who look up to Leach and Courtney as role models.

One of the most fake smiles I've ever seen on anyone. When he smiles at you, you know he is talking shite and lying straight to your face. On his own he probably cuddles up next to his Chihuahua and watches EastEnders.

The most cringe thing I have seen in a long time

I saw Carlton Leach in early 1992. He was in a local branch of Woolworths in Catford and he was stealing pick & mix. An old lady had seen what he was doing and said something to the manager. The manager didn't do anything, he just told the old lady that Carlton was "one of the chaps" and she best keep her "nose out" or she'd end up getting "striped."

Dave Courtney. If there is a guy who created his image by mingling himself with criminals that it rubs off a little everytime, and thereby fooled the world in thinking hes a hard man, its him. (With his King Arthur castle 😅) Regarding Carlton Leach. Im dutch and not english so i may be wrong here, but this is the idea i get: He was NEVER in Tuckers firm, and he wasnt even an "insider" but just a friend. He happened to be a doorman after he was a hooligan, and thats how he met them. If you watch part 1 closeley, The first 1/3 of the movie is about Carlton, and his hooligan period, and doorman period (and allegedly he went along as security when deals went down, which imo, they always have their own security....) Suddenly, the film shifts from his story to that of Tate, Tucker and Rolfe. Carlton wasnt a part of what they did. In the movie it seems he does because Tucker asks him (to do a demolition job on jimmy, to invest in the shipment, etc. And often goes home because hes tired or whatever. imo, this is Carlton trying to portray himself as a part of the firm, which he wasnt imo. Was he a friend of Tony ? Obviously he was, but imo he wasnt a friend of Rolfe and Tate, and imo was not a part of theor firm. Part 2 ? I wonder if part 2 is even true. Because i tried to find those events online and k found squat. Why did he ended his Twitter suddenly when it came out ? Because i had some serious questions about part 2.... And then again. Why is Carlton never named in the 5 or 6 other movies they made about the case ? But you do hear about all the rest ? I think Carlton was a "nornal" (Normal as in not into heavy criminal activities) friend, who he met regulary in Tonys clubs (much like Bernard O Mahoney, he could make a movie too and insert the Tate and Steele firm)

These guys are great role models for young people....just be the opposite in every way and you'll do fine

The only thing you can admire from these men is that given their limited education/intelligence, they are smart enough to be earning money (getting the last knockings) performing at such 'shows'. That said, you have to question the intellect of the audience, who presumably are paying money to listen to their unrehearsed performance of tritest. Courtney’s self-importance and grandeur of himself is comedy gold… it appears he believes his own persona. I only watched half the footage, boring, same old rhetoric…rubbish and out of touch.
