My name is David Dubinsky. I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I served in the Marine Corps and played in Washington DC and had a great time and transitioned into civilian life in Boston, Massachusetts. Met my wife 22 years ago. We've been married 20 and here we are in Oldsmar, Florida. Loving it, both retired and having a wonderful time. I'm a trumpet player. I've been playing for 62 years, almost 63 years. And these three fingers are incredibly important playing the trumpet. And I noticed a few months ago that this finger right here, this middle finger starting to get tingling and pain in the finger and we went to see Dr. Pappou. I had what's called endoscopic surgery. Um, there's two different approaches that can be taken with carpal tunnel surgery. Um, I chose the endoscopic approach and believe it or not, within 24 hours post-surgery, even with the stitches still in, I was able to flex my fingers and my hand perfectly.
I was playing my trumpet within 24 hours post surgery. It was absolutely remarkable and I would recommend the endoscopic approach to anyone who might be having to deal with carpal tunnel issues. I found the staff from the entire experience, from working with Priscilla in the office, to working with Jennifer, in Dr. Pappou's office and then ultimately with Dr. Pappou. It's a very caring environment and a veryvery professional environment. so I absolutely love the experience. I'm able to do every activity of daily living. There's no limitation whatsoever. And the most important part of my recovery is the ability to play the horn as if I were 20 years younger. My overall experience with Florida Orthopaedic Institute is an eight plus. I don't have any single negative aspect, anything other than thank you very much. I really appreciate the ability to use my fingers and my hand Once again I think it's extremely important that you seek, um, attention, medical attention. I would recommend the Florida Orthopaedic Institute. I would recommend Dr. Pappou if you live in this region of Florida. Don't wait until you have severe numbness, tingling and pain in basically all of your fingers because your recovery is going to be that much longer. My recovery was basically 24 hours. It was miraculous.
