Ну, он рассказал, что сейчас предпочитает быть наедине с самим собой, мечтает еще раз увидеть Калифорнию, пожить у моря. Рассказал, что впервые записывал альбом видя инструменталистов, видя как все записывают партии. Сказал, что он и Рик с самого начала хотели делать искреннюю пластинку, без позерства и наигранных чувств (ну как будто Дейв когда-нибудь писал неискренние песни). Еще рассказывал о разнице между записью альбома в студии и исполнением его на сцене, что некоторые форматы не подходят для сцены. Некоторые песни не подходят к исполнению на сцене. Он также рефлексирует о том, что тема самозванства для него крайне близка, он очень много рефлексирует на эту тему, на тему сокрытия своей сущности через песни, выступления, популярности как форма работы. Ну и традиционное: пластинка отражает последние 20 лет его жизни, каждая песня у него с чем-то ассоциируется (в том числе с отношениями внутри Депешей), что для него очень важны голоса и манеры оригинальных исполнителей песен.

Metal heart его любимая композиция на данный момент, она отлично впишется для сцены. Рассказал, что позволил своей певице на бек вокале импровизировать в конце трека, и результат ему более чем понравился. Сказал, что ему пришлось обозначить группе, что пластинка как бы больше его, чем Соулсейверов, потому что всю работу делать ему в основном. Короче говоря, высыпал всего себя в эту пластинку, спел все композиции максимально честно, максимально как может и умеет, без копирования стилей авторов оригиналов.

A brilliant track and voice. I started to listen to DM as a teenager. First on cassettes (because there were no CDs in my place) then I had almost all CDs later. I had the concert 📢 101 on Vhs tape and I knew every move/danse of Dave on the stage 🤩 and every song I was learning the lyrics in English. I would recognize his voice with my eyes closed. I had a black leather jacket, white and black jeans. DM 🤍 was and will always be special for me. 🤍 Thank you Dave for being. 🤩 💛

Such a great interview! Chris Black showed to us a real Dave Gahan, excited about what he's doing. So many interesting things about the recording process, wow! Album is amazing, David's voice is perfect for both Depeche-like music and such relaxing covers as well. Also thought that the album name "Imposter" definitely has sth in common with the Dave's personality: his behaviour in real life (this interview actually perfectly shows it to us) differs soooo much from his live performances with DM. Fingers crossed to see it alive. And kisses to all the devotees :)
