Dave Grohl knows how to tell a story and his life has been filled with incident, so his memoir, The Storyteller, is one of the most enjoyable books you'll read this year. We sat down with him to talk about falling off stages, life on the road, family, loss and being grateful for every moment.
Our exclusive edition features a bonus section on David Bowie: bit.ly/3l5efo3

I have to give props to the interviewer for giving Dave plenty of room to answer without interruption, and for asking him about work-life balance, a question usually reserved for women. I loved reading about Dave's relationships with everyone who's important to him. He really does have a gift of storytelling.

Viewing this video in the wake of Taylor Hawkins' death, I'm struck by Grohl's words about losing his childhood friend/best friend, as well as Kurt C. and how he essentially still grieves over them. I cannot imagine what he is going through now. 😢. I wish him peace.

Miles Davis once said about hiring 17 year old Tony Williams, .. thinking creatively is something that you either have it or not, is not something that you get better at with age... I think Dave has it and he doesn't give himself enough credit for it ( maybe because he never master advanced technique). Anyway, there is no other reason why he successfully went from one band to a better to the best. It was no luck.
