I'm an aspiring R&B singer (also from and currently living outside of Chicago), and this was a great live performance by a true and soulful, "gospeldelic" vocalist. I did some cover videos on here. That true and soulful R&B music is missing in today's music. I grew up on Stevie Wonder, '90's R&B, Boyz II Men, Dru Hill, Blackstreet, etc. I hope I can help bring some of that true and soulful R&B music (that's missing very much now) back for good.
