Dave in the line up is fucking awesome indeed but you can't say it is 100% better, it would be very insulting to the rest of the band. ST is a band that had countless members and everyone of them were extremely good musicians. I saw them in 2012 at the Heavy Montreal and the big black drummer was giving a really good show. But yeah Lombardo is of course the best they had so far.
@@ozanareyiz7773 Cant really say rock because he played in a thrash band for 20 years. That has been his forte. When he left Slayer and created Grip Inc he broadened his drumming skills but he really is a thrash drummer.
Great drummers look confortable and efortless playing. They have to play 18-20 songs per show in long tours. Lombardo don't waste movement but plays with great feeling. The drums in Slayer are harder than ST's, but if you see the videos he looks the same as here playing drums.
@@dosanddonts2919 you're kidding right? Moore is technically fantastic but he was so boring and not energetic enough with ST. Plus, he doesn't have the metal approach to playing drums and he was trying to play gospel chops to the songs.
@@TronciM There are many drummers in ST's past that are better than Lombardo. Look them up. When you think Eric Moore is more energetic than a 55 year old lombardo, you're not really to be taken serious.
@@dosanddonts2919 what? You should re read my comment. I said Moore wasn't energetic enough, which is true. Moore just isn't suited for metal/punk. Why are you so butthurt? I don't deny that he's more technically proficient than Lombardo but Lombardo ain't bad either and his style is way better for this music.
Mustaine is a fool for not getting him. Lombardo's drumming would've taken Megadeth to a whole new level, and they would at last have someone with power and feel for the first time since Menza.
I love Dave, but Paul made it obvious that Slayer could/would go on without him. Like previously mentioned, no Jeff - no Slayer. Glad Dave came to ST and not MegaShit.
WhoDarestheMAN gamer You're a fucking idiot jesus christ. Dirk is far more skilled than Dave, but that doesn't take even a little bit from Dave as a drummer. It may interest you to know that Dave is Dirk's biggest influence and he looks up to him a fuck ton.
As mighty and breakthrough as Mr. Lombardo's time with Slayer was Dave's legacy has expanded far beyond it. There is no one better imo. His snare work alone demands your attention at all times, forceful yet comfortingly steady and reliable. I'm so happy as a musician to have been around all this time to appreciate his gift in the moment.
Personally I don't care if Dave comeback to Slayer, I love ST more and having my fav drummer in one my favorite band is better him with Kerry and the Slayers
Agreed he is playing great and seems to fit in well with Suicidal but suicidal has always had great drummers. Dave is just a little different to what came before. Since the early 90's they have been a great live band no matter what lineup.
One of my all time favorite drummers playing one of my all time favorite Suicidal songs! Who would have thought this would ever happen. Freaking awesome! I'll definitely be watching this again...In fact (scrolls up)
I saw this tour in 2016 in Connecticut. Megadeth/ Metal Church/ Suicidal Tendencies. Got to see Lombardo play live for the first time. Just amazing. Great Concert all together as well 👍
My most favorite time keeper, from my most favoritest band... playing for ST, also another favoritest band, at a show... I probably would thought I was dying. Damn. Won't lie, it gave that song a whole new dimension.
Slayer and ST are two of my all time favorite bands. Dave is easily my favorite drummer and ST pulled me out of a deep funk as a teenager, ironically. I have a funny story about that but ST, despite the name, has perhaps the most inspiring and feel good vibes of any band. Thanks to old school ST (Mike, Mike, Rocky, Robert, R.J. and all others) I came through the haze and fog swinging. God Bless this band. They probably saved my life.
Dave Lombardo fits perfectly in SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, current line-up sounds great, old school (Mike Muir - Dean Pleasants - Dave Lombardo) with new school (Ra Diaz - Jeff Pogan), everyone looks cool, it reminds me of the Lights Camera Revolution 1990 era (band members sitting and signing ST stuff of the fans), new album World Gone Mad is great! One finger salute, thumb up to Dave Lombardo and ST band!
Holy shit man! It just doesn't matter where Dave goes. His playing sounds tighter and sharper than ever. Watching him beating the crap out of his drums just never gets old!!!
Dave Rocks!!! i remember my brother playing his stuff in the 80s and my mothers shelves of nick nacks falling off the walls ...shake the house to it's foundation lol....
