I work for a water heater company. We had boxes of shirts out back and one day I realize a bunch of people were out back wearing t-shirts that we never handed out to employees. We hid the boxes and they still got broken into until we locked up the shirts. No one got fired

So, accountability is toxic? I'd say it's the entitlement culture of employees that's toxic to any workplace. You're there to do a job. You're paid to do a job. It's a company, not a daycare center, despite the wet-ass nature of most younger employees. I worked at a company where someone got fired for stealing batteries out of the supply closet. Did it right in front of a senior manager like it was perfectly alright. The manager asked him why he was taking a whole box of batteries and he replied that he was out at home. 😂 HR got involved and he was gone in about a day. Act like a child and you deserve to be fired. The business world needs more leaders like this instead of the army of diaper-changing babysitters in most companies.
