The comment I replied to was against that this is how everyone should respond to untrue allegations. People who have no platform can’t do what he did and if they do they won’t have legal recourse. I was suicidal after the article about me came out in the NYT - there is no one who has more empathy for Dave in this situation than I do - so kindly GFY.

This is concerning but I think it's avoidable. We can't determine guilt but we must determine responsibility when engaging in such sexual acts. This comment section is Soo off the ball here. This happened to the singer song writer Ryan Adams. His ex Mandy Moore decided she wanted to use their divorce as a platform to push her new album and new season of her tv show. Same thing, never accused him of a crime, just made up borderline criminal behavior painting him out to be a bad guy. They used that as springboard to gather up a few other women to say “he was aggressive and needy, he asked for nudes, he kept asking to make sure I was 18” that last part even caused an FBI investigation that came up with nothing. Now he’s lost his record label and his management. Lost his publicist. These people can take your entire life on a whim.
One other thing that looks really bad on them is how a majority of people associated with business insider have turned to mentions to those they follow. Kind of a bad look if you’re so scared to face the music when you’re wrong.
