daniel morris saw him loose his deep cool @ hardly strictly bluegrass festival a decade back, when the soundman couldn't cope with the wind chill. Buuuut...seen him a dozen times maybe and chatted with him once till Gillian dragged him off. 😂 He is an amazing dude tho - he runs with Emmy Lou and Jack White, Chris thile and of course frckn John Paul Jones toured with them just before this phase.

@@kevindunne6520 You can hear it from Dave himself - there's a vid here on RU-vid. I believe it's Acoustic Guitar Magazine. Dave is sitting on a couch with the guitar being interviewed and he tells the story. I went to the music store he is referring to is Allston Ma. last year and asked them if they knew the story - no one remembered it even though it's been the same staff for 40 years. When I walked in I saw an old Bandmasater Reverb head and smiled to myself. You'll understand if you watch the interview.

+johnkane1972 I find the pureness of the live performance and the excellent engineering gorgeous. I wish they would release these sessions somehow. Some are much better than the album versions.

+stclemmons1969 I have just purchased the album after listening to this performance and.. yes, I agree with you

Saulius Menkevičius I've actually emailed them begging them to release their sessions, but all I got back is that they don't do it. If they did I think they'd make come cash for the station and the artists.

I found the violins on the album distracting from his voice and guitar. But this sound so good.
