Emilshere, on a youtube video that might be the case but I can assure you the difference is noticeable in person. Quite noticeable. I have a tempest as well as many drum samples in Ableton etc. Big difference.
I got the mashine studio,ableton push, and I am waiting on my mpc ren to come in the mail. I have the yamaha motif f8 as well....I might have to cash in on this one as well.
The sequencer is pretty similar to maschine but really simplified. It definetly lends itself more to live performance than in depth sequencing . Very fun bit of kit though
Why do none of the Tempest tutorials talk about the SEQUENCER ? ~ it does have a sequencer doesn't it ? step length , number of tracks, ect . . .tracks
OK, so the digital drum sounds are just one shot samples, but how do the analogue drum sounds work? I mean how do you get drum sounds from saw tooth, triangle, pulse waves and noise oscillators?
The digital samples are not all one shots, some are single cycles. As for making analog drum sounds, that's to long of a process to describe in here. But essentially you shape the sounds using envelopes to create the sound of the drum you would like.
ANUMAN Moka I think you turn amp off first then tempest . Maybe there’s nothing special. I’d probably avoid turning it off in system or save/load menus and especially not during updates or saving /loading processes . Other than that nothing special . Maybe I’m wrong but that’s what I do
It actually does share quite a lot workflow wise with Maschine. The way the sequencing is set up is very similar to Maschine (albeit stripped down a bit).
