The baseball team have been digressing for the past few years we might not even make a regional next year, I'm not wishing for anything bad on our teams but the writing is on the wall or the score board.

It goes to show, players who can bat, can overcome a great pitcher. In baseball, a good offense can beat any great defense. We were the worse in batting average and it was demonstrated in the post season. This is why LSU is such a tough out and are still moving on in the post season.

Well it's nice to know we will start off preseason in the top five and will probably end up like the movie Titanic once again. You know when the old lady at the end of the movie drops the heart of the ocean, kind of the same way those three razorbacks dropped that foul ball in the Natty... Never to be seen or heard from ever again.

Did anyone listen to DVH's post-SEMO game presser? This year's outfield;less #24, just wasn't anywhere near 2023's group. The portal is rough when you lack NIL money. And we haven't had a Wallace for a bit.

They have got to get some good college baseball players that can just contact the ball and get on base. Every time there are runners in scoring positions, the batter wants to be a hero and hit it over the fence. Just contact the damn ball and hit it out of the infield. Its been that way for 2 seasons and the coaches have got to change that mentality in the players early in the season to get them ready for June.

I have been watching the super regionals since Arkansas disappointed. They were no where close to the skills those teams exhibit. Thank goodness it was over quickly. It's like pulling a splinter. Next year we get to watch a all Hawaiian infield. Not looking forward to it.

I don’t really keep up with baseball but I do know I’ve heard a lot more about Arkansas baseball since Vanhorn became the coach. But yeah go ahead and fire him for a couple bad seasons. Let him go somewhere else to win a championship.

He won’t win a championship elsewhere. If he hasn’t at Arkansas yet, with the talent he’ got year end and year out, he never will.

Staff is fine. Players get paid now, and they were the ones choking at the plate, not any hitting coach. Go buy a better team, more clutch players. Cmon chicken man! If you blame a hitting coach, you must also blame his supervisor, DVH, for not stepping in and correcting the issue.

::sigh:: very disappointing, even embarrassing...after taking the first game at then-#8 KY, the Hogs were 40-5. Can't remember but that might have been during the last of 5 straight weeks as the #1 team in the country (D1 poll.) And then the wheels came off--the Hogs proceeded to drop 11 of their last 15 games, including going 0-2 in the SEC tournament and then getting bounced out of their own regional as the #5 national seed. And it was like deja vu all over again from last year. AND this falling short is not a new thing. DVH has been The Most Successful Coach in the SEC Over the Past 7 Years. IN THE REGULAR SEASON. Meanwhile, FIVE different SEC teams have won five of the last 6 NCAA tournaments, including the last four. The only non-SEC winner was Oregon State (2018) and we all know what happened then. DVH is turning into one of those Great Coaches Who Never Won the National Title. What does he have to do--what does this team have to do--to get over that hump?

DVH is not a great HC. Not anymore. A great HC doesn’t get embarrassed two straight seasons in regionals with home field with superior talent. And as you said five SEC teams have won national championships in the last 7 years. At this point, I fully expect Missouri or Oklahoma to win a championship again before Arkansas. DVH won’t get fired so the point is moot. But come on, he hasn’t been a great HC since the three Hogs let a foul ball drop in front of them.
