What a brilliant performance! Particularly blown away from around 9:53, one man playing The Entertainer on the piano and accompanying with an orchestra at the same time. That is talented!
Terrific as usual. See you at Blackwood 2022. Thanks again for the concert celebrating the wonderful life of my wife. No one could have done it like you did.
This brings back memories 30, maybe 40 years ago to a Pipe Organ Pizza. The pizza was horrible, but the organist was superb. It was a huge pipe-electronic organ behind a glass well, rather large and rather tall. Used to go almost every Friday and Saturday nights. Like so many awesome things years ago, it too died in the midst of the times that we are experiencing today.
This is my families organ. Specifically, this is my cousin Paul's project. One of the great people who plays this organ (and does incalculable amounts of work on this organ) is Zach Frame. Zach is the organist at Organ Piper Pizza here in the Milwaukee area. This pipe organ pizza place hasn't gone out of business, and they actually have good pizza in addition to a superior organist! Here is a link to their website in case you'd like to make a trip there (which I recommend). www.organpiperpizza.com/
There’s also Organ Stop Pizza in Mesa, AZ. Pizza is what it is, but the organ is a very large Wurlitzer made up of several other organs and has been expanded over the years. I feel like the title of the largest is always up for debate, so I’ll just say that OSP has a 4 manual, 80 something rank, 6,000+ pipe, organ. Almost the entire organ is visible as are the tremulants below.
There are lots of things that are impossible to do. Miking that setup for total recording authenticity would come close to being one of them. Nevertheless, this is a magnificent performance.
