David is praising God The Father, NOT a church. Only Jesus deserves our praise. A building is nothing without God in it. Remember God made us, not a denomination or a group of people. Jesus is IN YOU. Praise the Lord. Only He is worthy of our praise. I know David is real. I know it because I hear the Father when he sings. Thank You Jesus.
Nothing can compare to the feeling of a heart penetrated and filled with a pure and unconditional love of God. You maybe an LDS or not but I am sure you do feel the same love we (LDS) are feeling. We are all benefactors of God's grace and love.
I was at this concert. It really is not the same as watching it on a video. I was crying that night, and I feel like I'm gonna cry again. This boy is just too perfect.

I have always loved this song and I LOVE to hear my own children singing it...but i have never heard it as beautifully done as this. His voice is angelic when he sings it.
i really like this song. i had never experienced sing this song when i was in my primary age. when i encountered this song i used to cry regardless of who sing this song. the lyrics is so amazing. whatever trials and frustrations i have had i felt that Jesus guides me for the things i am doing every single day. I might become disobedient sometimes, still my faith stands on what my religion is. i LOVE TO BECOME A LATTER DAY SAINTS. a.k.a MORMONS.
I saw this guy´s perfomance on American Idol via cable TV in Brazil some time ago and could not forget him. Amazing voice and so likeable a person !!! I think I could happily hear him singing for hours !! Thank you so much for posting this video !!!

I'm not a fan of any particular person because I know how dangerously close to idol worship that can be for a a Christian, but this is a song that is worthwhile. It is hard for me to forget people who sing them and do them justice. Well done David.
You can be a fan of someone/something and not have it be idol worship. An idol in the biblical sense is something that replaces God. I don't think anyone has replaced God with David Archuleta.
+Keith Way you are not in idol worship, it is good to admire this young man that is very very gifted, and offer him the encouragement to continue to sing for the glory of our Father in Heaven that is also listening and no doubt smiling down on this young man, nothing wrong with this and you are not at all wrong

incredible, it's great to devote significant time of his life to our heavenly father, keep it that way, and is living proof that not everything in the world is evil, and that whenever we want we can change.
Seeing David sing this song helped me understand him better. He really lives up to the words of the song. FYI David recorded a 2012 album called BEGIN of mainly inspirational pop covers in the weeks before he started his 2-year church mission on March 28 2012. The album also includes one original and one hymn, Be Still My Soul. It's a wonderful album and I recommend it.
I just came back from baptisms for the dead and this is the perfect song to listen to.i enjoy this song so much. its great to have just been with the spirit and to have it still stay with you when u come home and listen to this song! David has an incredible voice and I'm so happy that he's able to share it with the world ! Makes my day everyday! I don't know if I'll ever be able to watch David sing this song without crying. David carries this song with him in his heart and tries and succeeds in living it every day. I am, and always have been since the first time I saw him, in awe of the spirit that radiates from him. I feel so thankful and blessed to have had this inspirational man in my life, if only to observe from a distance.
When he said this song influenced him in his life he means it. He tries to live Christ's teachings more than anyone I know. His heart touches mine and his voice and spirit can bring tears to my eyes. He is a gift.
So grateful I was there to witness this with so many fans. That evening in Beaver Creek was so beautiful and such a celebration. First concert after David announced his decision to go on a Mission. It was a Celebration!! Thanks for giving us this memory by filming this song!! ...and Thank You David for your gentle ways.

Just beautiful. David walks the walk of which he sings, like no one I know. He's just a beautiful, kind soul...who wears (and sings) his heart on his sleeve. Like many, I will surely miss that Voice for two years, but wish him well, always, and especially on his next journey...I'll be awaiting his return.
I had the privelege to be there for this. David seems so at peace with his decision and sang this so tenderly . It was beautiful. Thank You for capturing it for us so we can relive it and try to live it!
That was breathtaking. I waited 6 months to hear this. I found out David was serving a mission while I was on my own mission. I'm so proud of him. He's doing great wonderful things right now. He's such a great example.

I went to SLC in anticipation to cry my eyes out over Ava Maria, Silent Night and Oh Holy Night, but this one that captures my soul to its deepest place in my heart. I listen to this song all the time because he sings it so beautifully and I love feeling the sprit every time especially when I listen to it on Sunday's getting ready for church! =D I wonder if he truly knows what his voice and him as himself can really do to our lives, it reminds me of why I'm here and what I'm waiting for :) his voice in songs are just so inspirational !!! I am so pleased so many people have been able to see David's performance through this and many other videos posted by others. I have seen some of your comments about how you felt the spirit when watching, or when you were there. Truly that is what I felt, too. It was also so strong a feeling at the Salt Lake show where he announced he was going on a full time mission. I understood so much from that show and from this and other VIP performances at Beaver Creek.
Thank you for sharing this. Such a simple song but it carries such a big message and David has risen to the occasion. His countenance glows and people all over the world are drawn to the "mystery" that makes him so happy. I'm glad he'll be able to share what that "mystery" really is--even though it will be an awfully long 24 months...
