Last year I was mesmerised by a new Desdemona I had in a large pot. In the autumn I put that one on the ground where it gets sun all day (or would if there was a sun in the sky) and it's much less impressive. I bought another one to replace it in the pot and it too has been disappointing, less growth, smaller blooms. Yours looks more like the impressive display I had last year. Your PAOK also looks stunning. Keep on doing whatever it is you are doing - it's working!
Your Desdemona looks lovely. Is that just one shrub or several planted together? Would like a video on how you fertilise and keep your roses healthy from diseases. Very good videos. Thanks for sharing them
Your garden is looking fantastic naffy your Desdemona especially so. When does it get sun in say June out of interest. I’m trialling one of mine at the moment but if I could get away with more shade for it even better.
I feed with rose specific fertiliser (top rose this year) at spring and fortnightly potassium rich liquid fertiliser once in bud stage. Hope that helps.
Beautiful roses! Tell me please about the scent of Mme Isaac Pereire compared to zephirine drouhin. Are they similar in sweetness and same old rose scent? Thank you.
@@anorthfacinggarden9045 Hello. Seeing your channel is quite inspiring, growing in a north facing garden. I’m interested in purchasing (3) DA Desdemona Roses, where one will receive Morning Sun (In-Ground), and the others Afternoon Sun (Containers). Do you find these roses in more shade becoming leggy?
