Aurora at the begining: "This is a really really beautiful song, and it's not mine. Although I could wish it was mine. Maybe it belongs a little bit to every one?" Nice reaction again 😊👍
Ahhhh Bowie! I was about her age when I first heard Bowie. All these years later, he's still my first and most important musical love. Thank u! Video was in the early 70s
This is Perfection from my childhood. I adored Aurora getting the message He had sung. She perfectly understood and performed it with justice 🥰💜 Love and light hugs 🤗 💜💜💜💜💜
Hey guys - Brilliant Reaction, Brilliant comments from both of you, very intelligent & articulate, sensitive & perceptive Thank you! x x *the Bowie "Life On Mars" video was filmed in 1973 when it was released as a UK single (but originally recorded in 1971) *another, WONDERFUL version of this song is by Frida (from Abba) recorded in 1975 for her solo album "Frida Ensam" (Frida Alone)
What a great child you have there Norse.....thank you for introducing her to what real music and this wonderful ARTIST...love to see the next generation listen to music....not what is being presented to them currently... very smart young girl obviously.
Your daughter habe good taste😉 You have right tough it depends of my mood. how bold it is when you do one of the most iconic songs to a lullabye and many people love it. Sorry for your daughters cold. Hope she getting better soon.
If you feel like seeing Aurora's version again privately, I highly recommend this version, where she plays an old Fender Rhodes piano herself: youtu . be / kJ095S0MmnA
1980s? Are you sure? It was 1971 and Bowie paved the way for GlamRock, Punk, New Romantic and everything else which followed. A true musical genius. And he really cared about The Girl with The Mousey Hair. RIP David Bowie. ❤❤❤
Dude, this is rad. What an awesome way to teach your daughter about different music. Aurora is amazing, thanks again for the introduction. Bowie released it on Hunky Dory '71. I agree that Jessica Lang killed it on AHS. You should check out Jesca Hoop - The Kingdom. She's like a female Tom Waits mixed with Bjork.
Thanks, man. Yeah, she loves music. Playing piano and wanting to do violin next. I just took her to the Freaks on Parade concert too with Zombie, Mudvayne, Static-X, and PM5K. She loved it.
I would hate to be judged by your daughter, her expression is inscrutable as she reacts but also attentive and adorable. I know you don't need my affirmation but it is hard to raise kids in today's world but it seems you are doing a great job. Thanks for reacting to my lifelong favourite artist.
Nice video! The video was made in 1973. Bowie was in his "Glam" Ziggy Stardust phase when this was made, which is why he looks that way in the video even though the song was released in 1971 on his "Hunky Dory" album which was a year before Ziggy.
Hello buddy. First of all - What an incredibly beautiful daughter you have! Her mother must be very beautiful. LMAO Just kidding ofc. And I saw your "RETTFERDIGHET" tattoo on your right hand. WAY cool for a Norwegian like myself to see that. For non-Norwegians : Rettferdighet means justice. That's a very powerful tattoo my friend. Makes me kinda want a tattoo of my own. The two of you make up a crackin' reactions team, I have to say. Lovin' it :-) Love from Norway :-)
HAHA! Thanks for the generous comment. And yes! That means justice. If you've never seen The Boondock Saints, you need to. It's so good. That's where the idea came from.
RickWakeman played piano on this one one of David's most beautiful song always loved it since it came out last century when I wore younger clothes and was a raging R&R musician and now comes Aurora and there you go again I can see David would be really emotional and would certainly hug Aurora and love her eternally love how Aurora makes it, with so much respect hey, check there's a couple live versions Aurora playing a Rhodes and blowing you away great reax guys let the young lady that the subtitles are Portuguese they worship Aurora in Brazil she's good, this would be a much better world if more people would be able to know her she's good news bro
trey songz life on mars from Vinyl Show.....you should see this cover.... its just beautiful... probably better then Bowie... of course with aurora its incomparable ... she just transformed the song into a distinct song (in a good way i mean)
While this video was from 73 when Garson had joined Bowie, the song and this recording of it is the original from 71 and it is Rick Wakeman on the piano you are hearing, and who was pianist on the whole of the Hunky Dory album!
I love Auroras covers! I dont know how old your doughter is, but play Angelina Jordan to her. She is another norwegian singer who won Norway got talent at the age of 7. She is 16 now thou.
Hey! My kiddo is 6 years old! I actually uploaded Angelina Jordan yesterday, if you haven't seen it yet. Although, I haven't yet introduced her to my daughter. I will definitely be doing that soon. Thanks so much for watching!
When you try to fit this video into the compact ration you're shoving it into it eliminates the scope of the original. Therefore you're going to lose the subject to background because the tightness of what you're demanding is overriding the need to follow the subject, David himself. If you made it really small it wouldn't bounce so much.
HA! Dude, you're crazy. That cover was far from boring. It's pretty awesome that a young lady can be inspired by David Bowie, much less perform a brilliant cover of it. We can only hope for a future generation of musicians like this. I appreciate you watching anyway!
@@NORSEVIKING there are much better cover versions of this brilliant song. this cover is just overated and has nothing special about it other than the fact that she is paying respect to Bowie.
The appreciation of music can be quite subjective. To me boring would be if she had performed it the same as David Bowie. Here Aurora give us a completely different transformative version that takes me to an another place while still preserving the spirit of the song.
