I was at this gig… The people behind us just left one of their mates unconscious on the floor until we pointed out he didn’t seem to be breathing, six of us picked him up and pushed our way through the massive crowd with me standing at the front shouting the immortal words “stand aside… We’ve got a man down!” Got him backstage to the pyramid and left him with the paramedics and the police… Never did find out if he pulled through but the whole thing was highly dramatic in true Bowie fashion..
OmG People what can I say? You owe urself at least a huge pat on it back! We should care but at times our friends etc lie n we have to babysit. I hadda get a guy down off a roof top in NYC! Said he didn't do any Xanax n did his thing up there....and out cold ..I smacked him silly 😜, stupid jerk,! I'm 5' tall 90lbs..he was much larger... Never again will I believe an addict esp on a rooftop 10 floors up! Ha 😀😀😀 at least he's alive , I hope, ppl on death wishes...I hear so much now...too many rock stars died too...but Russian Roulette is part of the high...feeling in control, n testing the Universe..n your fate? Can't think ,but you get my drift. Ty 4 ur story! It's so kind of you...being grateful is not a priority anymore..too much taken for granted. So don't expect Ty's too often ☮️❣️
Best performer I have ever seen live. When he walked in, the air currents seemed to change. He never took himself too seriously and yet he was an artist of the highest order.
The greatest artist ever to live Bowie there are no words my husband was lucky to see you in London in the very early 80.s he has every song you made your death just come as a big shock but I can promise you no one will ever forget you and your music will never be forgotten ❤❤❤❤❤
Hey la-la Oh, oh, oh Didn't know what time it was The lights were low, oh, oh I leaned back on my radio, oh, oh Some cat was layin' down some rock 'n' roll lotta soul, he said Then the loud sound did seem to fade Came back like a slow voice on a wave of phase That weren't no DJ That was hazy cosmic trace There's a Starman waiting in the sky He'd like to come and meet us But he thinks he'd blow our minds There's a Starman waiting in the sky He's told us not to blow it 'Cause he knows it's all worthwhile He told me Let the children lose it Let the children use it Let all the children boogie I had to phone someone, so I picked on you Hey, that's far out, so you heard him too! Switch on the TV, we may pick him up on channel two Look out your window, I can see his light If we can sparkle, he may land tonight Don't tell your poppa or he'll get us locked up in fright There's a Starman waiting in the sky He'd like to come and meet us But he thinks he'd blow our minds There's a Starman waiting in the sky He's told us not to blow it 'Cause he knows it's all worthwhile He told me Let the children lose it Let the children use it Let all the children boogie Starman waiting in the sky He'd like to come and meet us But he thinks he'd blow our minds There's a Starman waiting in the sky He's told us not to blow it 'Cause he knows it's all worthwhile He told me Let the children lose it Let the children use it Let all the children boogie La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
I was listening to my wife's spotify classic rock playlist today and said to her "Who should we have seen in concert when they were still alive?" I ran this through my 56 yo head and said "I would have loved to see David Bowie". Now I'm here watching this amazing performance!
He was a true one-off. There was no like him before, and we'll never see anyone like him again. Thank goodness he left us so much to watch/listen to. 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Esta música é perfeita David .As nossas irmãs deram - me a notícia há poucas horas . E dadas as circunstâncias estou bastante sereno e muito feliz . Até já irmão
It's not the same voice as 1972 - 1972 "top of the pops" is better . Great song plus some of his others - its sad he is gone and the way he went . Loved alot of his tracks, very iconic- he was a pop star . I also loved seeing him in films
