I saw David in some roadhouse outside of Austin in '76. He was singing Mr. Bojangles and there was a power outage. He continued the song solo, didn't miss a beat. The crowd became incredibly quiet so we could hear his unamplified voice and guitar. His best performance.

David Bromberg is one of my all time favorite musicians. We missed him for a very long time. Thanks again David. You get my deepest respect on your return! Im a rhythm guitar player and i got the same burnout! .... i can't get out to jam anymore. I used to go to the events put on by the Philly Folk Song Society...Play On David!!🎵🎶🎵

Some say that David Bromberg is toooo diversified. He plays blues, folk, rock, country, ragtime, and fiddle tunes. Well, that is what I like best about him. In this respect, he is a songster, which is a word often applied to guys like Mance Lipscomb, Willie McTell, and other blues guys whose repertoire is too big for a single category.

That drummer sure looks like Sean Lennon.
