Lo mejor de Lollapalooza ese año. La música y puesta en escena a otro nivel. No se requieren pantallas ni fuegos artificiales. David Byrne demostró que la música es otra cosa.

David Byrne was the original with Eno and Peter Gabriel in their genre. Also working out the digital intellectual property copyrights years ahead of the post CD market. Ahead of the the great curve, but Byrne just delivers the message now multinational and still razor sharp as he was in my gen X adolescence with Remain in Light, where I still dwell.

This show made my year. Al the down time gone. Happy Place I want you listen good. The band is fantastic. Keep up the music. I am your number one fan. Am 70 years old make me feel am 21 year old. Nothing stopping me now. Life is incredible watching this show. Just like David Bowie what he did to me. But he gone. David if you're reading this take care God Bless You.

After first hearing "here" I thought was bit quirky, however the harmony is truly lovely. It's imaginative, and cleverly done I think this version of the show, here in Santiago wins for sound style, atmosphere and enjoyment !!!!

I saw this show on the gold coast. One of the best I've attended. No visible cables, amps, mike stands, nada. It was at night in an auditorium. It made unusual use of lighting giving the appearance of lots more than the twelve musicians on stage. At one stage a lamp on wheels at head height was slowly pushed toward a lone David in the centre of the stage. As it drew closer a singing shadow of his growing head was reflected on the back drop; it grew and ended with a large mishappen but discernable talking head! Wow, wow, wow.

American Utopia es la última puesta en escena del artista David Byrne y sin duda fue una arriesgada carta para los organizadores de Lollapalooza Chile , que se constituye como una amplia galería musical que, ocasionalmente, nos sorprende con este tipo de gemas.

"fue una arriesgada carta" ? Si claro, solo por que, aun paso el tiempo, seguimos medios aislados y no tenemos la oportunidad de ver a estos grandes dentro de los grandes...Por suerte ya lo conocimos por aca en Chile pero hace años ya...Lo estraño que en esa ocasion fue invitado a la TV y hoy no.

Loving this composition by Mr Byrne, pure genius in his younger years , yet this show is magical , further highlights is brilliance of the concept. Enjoy it all the more . Wonder which young bands are influenced by these gentleman.

In my teens I liked Talking Heads for their hits and never felt a whole hearted fan. So many years on I love everything Byrne is associated with. The joy is his new work has all the integrity of his early work. America's Brian Ferry.

Hmmmm.... I saw American Utopia... in Lisbon 2018..... was front center 5M from the stage..... A friggin dance party..... This video is cool... but fails to do the live performance justice. I was 62 then.. I've been to more concerts than I can remember... Ha..... But David Byrne is up in the top 3..... Saw him 2002 at Count Basie Theater... Red Bank, NJ.... also was a dance party... he's amazing. Wonderful person

Clearly shot on a very long lens on this occasion, which makes everyone look very cramped on the stage, which isn't actually how it was. And the show was definitely honed further by the time it got to England! Great, though, to have another recording of this fab touring show...!! And, in all of them, it's great to see how much they all seemed to be enjoying themselves, despite doing it many, many times..!
