CORRECTIONS:
At 1:27 I state that David Camerons maternal grandfather was a Conservative Party Prime Minister. His maternal grandfather was not a politician, that was David's maternal great-grandfather (also named Sir William Mount). To further add to the cock-up, he was not a "PM", he was an "MP". My bad.

Drink a glass of water between each drink. If you get to the point you’re dehydrated, it’s too late, no amount of water will prevent the consequences entirely, you’ll just urinate water. It has to be managed consistently throughout the evening. That, and get enough sleep. Unless you’re pregnant or have a condition that necessitates vitamin supplements, you don’t need them, just eat something.

I bumped into David Cameron whilst I was out walking my dog in his constituency. This was just after he had stepped down from the role of PM. I noticed a black car driving slowly down the road with tinted out windows, followed behind by a family on bikes. Thinking it was strange to see that kind of car out in the countryside I turned to look at the man riding the bike and we locked eyes. It was a strange moment - I knew I recognized him but didn't understand right away. I turned back around and then though "wait a second, is that who I bloody think it is", gave him a double take, his eyes widened as if to say "oh no he recognizes me" and he hastily responded with a cheerful "good morning!" as he passed. When I told my grandad about what I saw, he simply said "should've stuck yer leg out".

My introduction to David Cameron was while i was in Afghanistan. I was there in 2010. Shortly after the election, he came out to do a "meet the troops and make it look like i give a f***" visit. The papers back home would later report about how he went out running with the troops and what a top bloke that made him. It had pictures and everything. I saw the photo shoot. My unit was billeted near to where they put VIPs like Cameroon and one morning we had assembled for our morning run. When out of the VIP area comes a group who quickly shut down a short section of road. Then a chap with a camera sets up about halfway down this road and the D man appeared in his running shorts. We watched as he ran up and down that empty bit of road for maybe 5 minutes or so while the camera man took loads of pics. Then when they had decided they had enough, the whole lot of them vanished back inside the VIP compound and then those photos appeared in the British press a few days later. I didn't know very much about him up to that point (i didn't pay attention to politics in those days, Afghanistan changed that). But once i saw those pictures, that pretty much told me all i needed to know about him. Since then, he has consistently managed to be totally and utterly awful.

My dad had a friend named Victor Khan. In the 90s Victor bought himself a brand spanking new Mitsubishi Pajero and fit it with an anti-theft system, which included an immobiliser and an alarm, both of which could be turned off from the Fob on his keychain. One night Victor is awoken by his mother, who tells him his car is blaring outside their window. Victor, eager to show off the new fangled technology to his mother, walks up to the window and clicks a button on the fob. At which point the Pajero revs up to life and drives away. My family calls this the Victor Khan effect: when you do something in full confidence and the result is completely opposite to your expectations. Brexit was the prime example of the Victor Khan effect: Cameron pressed a button on his key fob, after which the UK revved up to life and ran away.

Whenever anyone brings the "but but but GAY MARRIAGE THO" excuse, remind them that Cameron refused to whip the vote. This is despite the fact that marriage equality was technically an electoral pledge for his party. Roughly half of the Tory party voted against it. So it is only really because of the more left-leaning MPs in parliament that this supposedly-Tory policy passed. I know no one likes the whip, but Cameron felt more than capable of whipping other votes at the time.

Of those most badly affected by Cameron and Osborne’s vicious cuts , “The sick, the elderly, the disabled, the unemployed” ….and also women born in the 1950s, whose state pension age was increased to 66, with little to no notice. Many having worked and paid NICs since the age of 15, had their carefully made retirement plans destroyed and if they had savings (carefully put by for rainy days when they were no longer earning), such as a lump sum from a workplace pension, were unable to claim unemployment benefits and had to live on what was supposed to have been their savings until they money ran out. Oh and don’t forget their raid on the pensions fund (£271b disappeared from there if memory serves me correctly) that should be paying out better pensions for all of us, instead of almost the lowest in Europe.

"He legalised gay marriage." Is also a completely disingenuous defence of Cameron. The bill only passed because of votes from Lib Dems and Labour. The party who voted against the legalisation of gay marriage the most was the Conservative party. If they weren't in coalition with the Lib Dems at the time, it would never have been voted on.

The extremely rich don’t pay income tax anyway. But they would pay a wealth tax (currently 0%) and capital gains tax (currently 20% meaning Sunak paid an average of 23% on his £2 million in earnings).

I am not British but when I was following the news and saw that Brexit won, I sure wasn't surprised. Since I was following the whole thing, I knew the reasons why half of the British population wanted to leave the EU. Then I watch the subsequent British prime minister not wanting to leave and dragging their feet. And now, nothing much has really changed for Britain and things are just getting worse. Sad really.

Let's be honest, the economy never recovered after the 2008 financial crisis. It's been flatlined and stagnant for years, but the latest string of PMs pushed it over the edge. Now it's a mad scramble to pocket as much wealth as possible while trampling over the common people while raising inflation to ridiculous levels. It's easy for someone with multiple homes and offshore bank accounts loaded with cash to not be in a hurry to fix the economy, which is the problem exactly. They're so out of touch.

You forgot that, along with real terms cuts to welfare and cuttiny the top rate of tax, the Tories have raised VAT to its' HIGHEST rate EVER at 20%. It's a regressive tax that does not take into account ability to pay, so when Labour were in control every £1000 you spent on goods and services, ie clothing, internet, home renovations, toilet paper, insurance, legal fees etc, you only paid £175 to the government, now you pay £200. That's a 14.3% increase if you don't cut back on your spending! Remember that this was during a recession where people had less disposable income, so it literally priced poorer people out, worse if you're dependent on benefits. It didn't help businesses either as their goods and services became more expensive, whilst those who benefited the most from the tax cuts used their money to buy up more assets ie housing which reinflated that bubble but that's another story. Simple conservative supporters have somehow convinced themselves that the left are high tax and that the Tories are low tax, this has always been a myth since income tax became a thing with the liberals. The truth is, the left favour direct taxation whilst the Tories prefer indirect taxation, the Tories went so far as to even repeal income tax (to raise excise duty and consumption taxes instead) in the 19th Century, but a modern state can't function by placing the burdern upon the back of its poorest.

stopping by just to say that as a non-brit, as far back as I can remember the UK economy has always been in crisis, and watching The Crown even as far back as the 1950's it has always been in crisis, I don't understand is it ever not in crisis ? how are you top 10 economies in the world with an economy that has been in crisis non stop for 40 or 50 years ? what does this country make ? online it says your biggest export is financial services, how do you base an economy on financial services ?? The UK makes no sense to me

I was impressed by Margaret Thatcher and her work hard reap the rewards rhetoric I didn’t realise how cold-hearted she really was. Then came along Cameron with his ‘Caring Conservatives’ speech - this time I was a bit wary and then the expenses scandal and later the Caynan Island trust funds so much for ‘we’re all in this together’ and I am so appalled by all politicians now except Jeremy Corbyn who I delivered leaflets for. I am suspicious of New Labour Starmer after his trip to Davos and affiliation with Tony Blair - I am now a struggling pensioner my fault for believing lying self serving politicians 😡

What Cameron did to the country was politically and economically illiterate. He is the reason we almost went into a double dip recession and have had a lost decade of economic growth, due to his and his governments st upidity, because cutting investment and government expenditure meant the economy slumped, basic economics and history shows, spending during a recession boost the economy and gets you out of the recession. Tax cuts on the rich did nothing as always because the rich already save money therefore giving them more just means more money is taken out of the economy and not spent in it. This is basic economics you learn in GCSE yet is too complex for the party with the most seats in our government.

This is mostly irrelevant but as an Australian I noticed that at 14:33 when talking about the reactions to cam's newly fancy status someone used a reaction image of Bob Katter, an Australian politician most known for the quote 'I mean, ya know, people are entitled to their sexual proclivities! Let a thousand blossoms bloom, as far as I'm concerned! But I HATE spending any time on it, because, in the meantime, every three months, a person is torn to pieces by a crocodile in far north Queensland', and I appreciate the fact that the pictures in the video are actually from the interview when he said that because seeing Katter out of the blue is not something any Australian is prepared for but most of us find it hilarious. (Also, any time those particular images are used every Australian will just heat Bob's voice in our heads saying that quote and it's hilariously jarring to go from thinking about Cam getting permanent fancy boy status to remembering an interview where an Australian politician pivoted from the legalisation of gay marriage to crocodile fatalities in less than a second) Edit: there are a few famous Australian videos, such as 'not happy Jan', 'because mate, I wanna do you slowly', 'what is the charge? eating a meal??? a succulent Chinese meal???', David Templeman's Sound of Silence parliamentary performance, and this minute-long clip of Bob Katter is probably one of the most well-known and often quoted
