I've searched through spotify for this song and there's nothing from david cook with the title "The last song i'll write for you" it just gave different artist with the same song title. Wah spotify please I want this song on spotify.
This song is amazing & so are David & the guys. LOVE IT. LOVE HIM. I'm glad RCA dropped him. RCA/Mgr/Agent never helped him. No ads. NOTHING. Seen both Kelly & Carrie ads on TV when THEY have new CDs or going 2b on a show, Idol or not. Tour dates coming up even. (Multiple times.) And I live close to KC too. At least now he has creative control. Maybe there's someone smarter than RCA that can recognize what all Cook fans have known all along. This man has it all.

David Cook is managed by Simon Fuller one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the entertainment industry and also the producer of American Idol. No need to worry about David Cook. I think he's on his way to great success. I've watched his career since Idol and have come to realize he's such a smart man. Along his way he has been making some powerhouse connections and dedicating his time to charity work. I'll be his greatest fan for life! Love that voice!
To all those saying he's been dropped, he's still listed on RCA's site. So, he hasn't been dropped yet. I'm not sure why he released this song himself, but everyone should go by it and give him the support he deserves.
absolutely love this song and his voice! In my opinion, RCA or 19 or whoever they are did not do as much as they should have to promote David Cook. He has one of the best voices that ever stood in front of a microphone. I have seen him and his band twice in concert and they are fantastic! This might just be a good move for him and he can really expand upon his creative genius and not be controlled. His real passion is the songwriting. When he won Idol he got two contracts not just one!
I am as well. He's amazing, and there are plenty of gems out there to chose from, especially from his pre-Idol career. I highly recommend checking out his analog heart album (if you have'nt already) and tracks from his first band, Axium. David's made some very amazing music over the years, and I sure don't see him stopping anytime soon!! :)
Not sure why everyone seems to think that a RU-vid upload will keep people from purchasing the song... I purchased it on iTunes to put on my iPod...can't put it on my iPod from this RU-vid video! That being said, this song has GREAT mainstream potential, and if marketed right, it could be a BIG hit for David. I really hope his next album lives up to the masterpiece he made in "This Loud Morning".

I think David needs to fire his agent (or HIRE one if he doesn't have one) iTunes doesn't even list this song as a single under New Releases. Rebecca Black is there, but not David Cook? absolutely love your music.....have since you were on idol. But i live in the atlanta area and I never hear any of your music on the radio....why is that? I dont understand. You are as good as Chris Daughtrey if not better in my opinion and I hear his songs on the radio daily. What is wrong with this picture.......somehow please get your songs out there on the radio......please.
