I am lucky to have been born when I was. When his specials would be on CBS every year, I was too young to be skeptical, and there was no internet to ruin everything. I looked forward to every single one, taped them all, and watched them repeatedly. Even now, knowing how some of the tricks are done, it doesn't matter. David Copperfield is one of the best entertainers of all time.

I got to see him Live when he came to Fairbanks Alaska, and to tell you the truth I felt like I did in the 80s watching his specials, believing in magic again, for a little bit at least. Most everyone else copy's or buys his old illusions .

@reggierdh Exactly. That's what I was trying to tell my parents, who hated the show. What other magician tells stories that make you laugh, touch you, awaken your senses and amaze you? None, that's who. The rest just try to pull the wool over your eyes. That's what makes DC unique.
That's it! He adds meaning to his magic. The music, the stories...you get so much more from him than you do from other magicians. With others I feel foolish and deceived. I feel with him I've gained something. Amazement, wonder. I can almost believe magic is real and that there are portals into other dimensions.😅
I used to do alot of magic tricks at the bar....everyone begged to know how but any time i told them which is a big no no....it made them unappreciative and their attention goes away.... Never reveal a trick
