I'm so glad Cameron stuck by David through all the tears and years. There is no mythical lure of the muse in his music. Love, in its purest form, is what draws us into his storytelling, harmony, and poetry. His music will always be the soundtrack for the true rebel in each of us. Thank you for being your authentic self, David.
I agree. Wow! I love to hear this man talk. He's seen it all from being a kid to doing every drug in the fabulous sixties, and doing hard time in prison. And he's still here to talk about it, and make beautiful music. David Crosby is Immortal!!!
Croz is such an enigma. I've always loved his singing and playing, and he has written some great songs, and played in some great bands, starting with The Byrds. Here he seems so forthright and honest, and it makes me think, "Yeah...I like this guy. I'd like to hang with him..." But then... ...there's the Mr. Hyde side...well reportedly, anyway. He even admits that he can be "grumpy", although I suspect that others who say they know him well and are fed up with him have used other terms that are less flattering than "grumpy"-terms I won't repeat here. So, are they all wrong? Is it all just a big misunderstanding? How the hell should I know? All I can say is that when a man like Graham Nash reaches the point where he wants nothing more to do with you, there has to be.a very deep wound, and in Graham's case he believes the wound was inflicted deliberately. Is he deluded? Is Croz really a nice guy, just misunderstood? Beats me. I've seen evidence of reasonableness in Croz in recent interviews. He has emphatically paid McGuinn the credit for being the musical leader in The Byrds-the force that glued it all together. Well, that's good. Chris Hillman holds no grudge against Croz, but will NOT play with him. I dunno...I'll just continue to listen to his music, which has always been the main attraction.
What a back handed compliment. Croz cared passionately about many things and that’s a huge part of his story. That and never being afraid to say it. Since he’s gone I’ll speak on his behalf - “fuck off pal.”
Well David I have to disagree with you you are cute I watched an interview with you on Dick Cavette after the Woodstock concert you were there with Joni Mitchell, Grace slick, Stills and a few more and you had this awesome tan and thick brown hair and you were so cute so cute. I just recently watched it because I would have been about 5 when the original show was on but wow I would have gone to Woodstock just to see you id I had been old enough.
That would be on their new MOVIE. A film needs film. It was shot Digitally. Film and video are two different processes. And really, it's a documentary. Documentary Movie.
Of course you're right. When you love people, family members, who have hurt you & tried to sabotage you your whole life there no question letting them go is a gift to your self & preserves your mental health.
Do you play?I have been playing for 45 years and every once in awhile I have to look where my fingers are too.It depends on the chord.Cros has always played some pretty intricate Jazz influenced chords I understand why he has to look once in awhile. Plus this man has burned through so many brain cells he's lucky to be alive.
seriously? So, when Joe Pass or Jaco look at their hands you're sitting there all smug and superior because YOU don't have to. Ridiculous nit-wit-pick.
