This mum is hard to convince but David Emanuel has a plan to make her believe that the bride's choice is the right one. Catch Say Yes to the Dress on TLC - Sky 133, Virgin 162, BT TV 323
Agreed! Normally I don’t mind a sparkly belt but it broke up that beautiful dress in an unfortunate way. I would have left all the bling off and just went with the tiara if she wants it.
Sarah Dee Why not wear a gorgeous necklace that her fiancé gives as a wedding gift? She is a pretty girl with a gorgeous figure. A necklace draws the attention to her face.
The belt and accessories aren't the statement to the dress, SHE is the statement to the dress. The simplicity makes you focus on her beautiful face and smile 😍
That’s exactly what the dress needed. Definitely the perfect choice. How often is the bride exactly the size of the mannequin? Baby girl doesn’t even need alterations! Really sweet bride.
When I was trying on wedding gowns, I was astonished that the very first one I tried on was THE dress for me. I did try on others, but none of them captured me like the very first one. Sometimes you get lucky that way. And yes, I purchased that dress and had no regrets.
When I chose my wedding dress, it went like this: I walked in the dress-shop, which was an amazing affair, with hundreds of gowns to choose from and a VERY nice lady to receive me. But my eyes were already caught: there, on a hanger (not a mannequin) was MY DRESS, the ONE I have been dreaming of since I had been a little girl (somebody must have been trying it on shortly before my appointment), so I just said, pointing to it: "I want to order that dress, please". The consultant almost fainted, tried franctically to convince me not to settle for the first, telling me, what a sortiment they had from all designers. She was so busy persuading me that I did try on two other dresses - in fact only to placate her -, just to tell her then to get MY dress, which she did, and it was just as stunning on me as I had always envisioned it. I never regretted my choice :)
agnes15101968 if I was your consultant-the second I would hear “MY dress” I would have shut up and grabbed it immediately. There’s a difference between “the dress” and “MY dress”
It did need the belt. It was so boring on top without it. It isn’t my dress, though. I respect the bride for what she wants. I never would have taken it.
Oh God... The first dress is absolutely beautiful on her.. damn.. she makes me jealous. The dress design is everlasting and it's under 2000 too.. totally a catch..
When will the entourage ever learn that its not their choice , when they see that smile on a brides face they should know she's found her dress & support that . Its not their day, their vision , their dress!!. The bride looked beautiful ❤ im glad she followed her feeling in her bones &got what she wanted, she knew that was her dress & just pulled it off beautifully 🤗
Now that everyone’s on board, and they’ve purchased the dress, I hope she can ditch the belt and the ugly tiara. That dress all by itself is absolutely perfect for Santorini
it's a beautiful dress, I agree but it is a little on the plain side. I would have paired it with the Tiara, get rid of the belt, and wear long gloves and drop bling earrings with it.
Despite the tough audience, this was a light-hearted episode. The bride knew what she wanted, and David provided the right touches everyone could get on board with. The bride is very beautiful. I hope the groom knows how blessed he is.
I have been binge watching these videos for several days now and have watched more than I care to admit. I have to say this bride is the most stunning bride yet!! Her natural beauty, her calming smile and that amazing personality that brings it all together. There isn't a dress in that store that could make her look bad but I'm glad she chose something that allows HER to shine.
I love the first dress! Sleeves and plain yet elegant and flatters her figure. It really doesn’t need a belt. I can’t stand strapless anymore. Maybe the bride will decide against the belt before the actual wedding?
Greece! What a fabulous choice for a destination wedding! 🥰 That being said, the dress really didn't need the belt. With a back drop like that you don't need the bling. The dresses simplicity, a long veil, and a little jewelry would've been enough.
The fact that it felt like the mum was just trying to spite her… wtf???? It’s HER wedding dress! And you’re her MOTHER! Support her for crying out loud!
I mean, by adding a veil, they kinda wanna show that the bride’s choice is final so most of the time they’re convinced or ACT like they are cause they know that that’s it for the bride.
The bride is trying on the majority of these dresses to impress her mom. I’m glad this bride knows what she wants, I have seen some episodes where the bride gives into her entourage
The dress with the added accessories is gorgeous and the bride looks beautiful! Blessings on your marriage I absolutely love how David communicate with his clients. He seems to be so genuine, loves people and makes all of his brides feel gorgeous. Blessings on his business
I understand when parents wanna pay for their daughter's dress, but more often than not, it turns into a power trip. Since they hold the check book, they feel they can turn the appointment into a search for a dress THEY want instead of the bride. The way those two women were treating that poor girl was awful. Ladies, I know we're taught as children to respect and love our family, but please grow a sense of independence from their opinions. I've seen so many brides on this show crumble under the opinions of others, even if they adore the dress they're in. I love brides that come in with their heads held high saying, "When I find my dress, nobody is gonna make me change my mind!" Opinions are fine, but honestly, if you're in love with a dress, that's it. Get it. No room for discussion. Dress shop alone or with someone you KNOW will have your best interest at heart, not their own. I picked out my dress on Etsy. Mom saw pics of it and seemed to like it. I wasn't showing her to get approval. I was paying for it anyway. It's not a wedding dress, but it'll definitely be my wedding dress. :)
In this program I noticed the consultants more. They have to be tactful and encouraging at the same time. Also supportive of the bride through every discouragement. They listen for tiny nuances and from that bring the bride dresses to try on. They are sincere in wanting the brides happiness. I think they are exceptional people.
True story; I went dress shopping with my Mom and big Sister; they shoot down everything I liked. It was so stressful I ended up putting a deposit on a dress I didn't like at all just to please them. Later, about a week later, I went back ALONE and purchased a dress I loved. Brides, save up and pay for your own weddings, this keeps opinions down and you feel free to make Your day about YOU and your Bae!
The first dress fit her beautifully and would be perfect for her wedding venue. I vote for #1 minus the belt. The tiara is enough bling. The dress looks more classic without the belt!
Beautiful family. Who else wish they could see her dancing in the dress on her wedding day? Looks like they're going to all have a ball. Contests! Cheers everybody!
I loved the first dress just plain but when they added the belt & the tiara with the veil wow this bride is so beautiful can u imagine how stunning she’d be on her wedding day?
Ah, she looks STUNNING. Beautiful. I hope she had/has the confidence to lose the belt if she feels plainer looks good with all that blue sea and sky and white, white clouds. She looked great when she first put it on and it was so opaque and pure. Looks great both ways.
I went from really REALLLLY not liking David Emanuel to absolutely living this new respectful of budget, kinder and more genteel man he is in the last year or so..I loved how he was in this clip. And now to the most important part of these videos, the bride, she's stunning. She looked beautiful. No bling needed cuz she is the bling!! She just glows!! ❤️❤️❤️
