I just discovered David Garrett and his beautiful talent on the violin. I am obsessed with watching his every video! This interview was so honest and natural in the interview. I love this about a celebrity! It is not often true of other famous people. This honesty and sincerity comes through in every video I see when he is speaking or performing. He is so genuine and I believe that is why he is adored by his fans. I wish there were more interviews in English. There are many in Dutch which I don’t speak! I loved this interview. I almost feel like I know him as a person now! He is a dear sweet man. So glad I found him on you tube. I hope he tours America once borders open up! He is the perfection of the ideal man!

He said, "In the beginning, you have to fall in love with music, and through music, you have to conquer the instrument." I love that!

I love his openness ..he is a great violinist and when I usually hear him he speaks in German , its nice to hear him speak English .. I do love his music but above all like his being genuine ..open and everyone who talks to him would be at their ease .He must know he is a great artist but he does not take him too seriously...he knows the road to success it is an ongoing one ..and he tries to do everything right and he gets it right ...by instinct..he wants to give his best every time ..xo

I think David is great in this interview, per usual, however imo the interviewer might want to research before and up her game . I found it difficult to watch... respectfully.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hoped I would never even HEAR "electric violin" come out of David's mouth.... David said that classical is rock and rock is classical.. He proves his philosophy every time he plays and proves it on ACOUSTIC. My philosophy is that the violin creates its OWN electricity and when instruments "plug in" and start to use electricity, they are trying to acquire what the violin NATURALLY has and does. For instance when a guitar plugs in, it gains the effects of USEFUL vibrato and many effects that the violin naturally has built in. The funny thing is...... almost all electric violin I have heard sounds like........ the violin..... and now they are producing a synthesized violin sound rather than a natural violin sound..... and do not even use the properties that electric gives to them... but use it to merely "imitate" a natural violin...... PUT DOWN ELECTRIC and keep putting the little microphone on it if you really need to PLUG IN :) Im so glad that all the new upstarts in modern times are choosing to go the acoustic route rather than electric so they are truly bringing a very old instrument untouched into the modern era of music and giving a new life to an old "idea" without changing the instrument to do it, but change the sounds you get from it, and as David has proven, sometimes even take those old songs written hundreds of years ago and show that even today, the rock stars of their day are STILL rock stars TODAY :)
