Agreed. English is not his first language either, and perhaps not fluent in pc-speak, so one could appreciate how he could be a bit clumsy around the subject.
@@RobertHalvarsson yeah the guy is trying to do something positive in a contry that it isn't his in a different lenguage and people just talk about how inappropriate it is. I would love to see this people in a different contry and lenguage acting completly in social norms.
I agree, and like the others are saying, English isn’t his native tongue. It’s hard to translate what’s on your heart/mind when there’s somewhat of a language barrier.
@@manuelillanes1635 It's funny because "shoutout to his family" is so inappropriate to say in this situation but David Guetta uses it unironically to pay tribute to George Floyd's family (I suppose you heard the news about police brutality and George Floyd last year?)
nah some of his music is VERY popular out side of europe (or atleast was) but he isnt that popular personality wise so no one cares to check if we are saying it right
'Performing as part of a virtual rave in New York City - where he raised more than $500,000 (£403k) for Covid-19 relief charities - he dropped a track remixed with Martin Luther King Jr.’s 1963 I Have A Dream speech.' For covid, not George Floyd
Apart from "shout out to his family" (🤦🏻♀️) it's a sweet gesture. Music unites ppl and makes everyone forget about the negative feelings. May be this is not ur kind of music, but someone somewhere will smile in their heart.
He tops all activists in history ! 1. David Guetta (1967- present) anti-racist police brutality 2. Martin Luther King (1929-1968) anti-racism activist 3. Mother Teresa (1910- 1997) activist for the poor 4. Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948) anti- colonization activist 5. Pope Benedict XV (1845- 1922) anti -war activist
As a French person, I am honored to see that we ended racism thanks to our Leader David Guetta (btw it’s pronounced guetta like get out but with -a instead of out)
that was my personal favourite meme of 2020....been laughing forever about david guettas pure inappropiateness and inability to say anything meaningful
