I remember Colbert reacting to the helicopter clip on his show when it happened and his monologue with it was so priceless. I died. He was reading a statement from one of the rescuers who "made eye contact" with the lady and checked that she was okay. Colbert was like "You made EYE CONTACT? HOW?" And then proceeded to whirl his head round and round going "MA'AM! MA'AM! ARE YOU OKAY?" and it was just the best addition to an already ridiculous anecdote!

Dude I was not expecting it to be so funny. I rarely actually laugh out loud at videos ut I was sitting on my couch and it was so unexpected I could not stop laughing every time she came around. And they all said what I was thinking- why she spinning like that

The first time I just smiled and then they kept doing it over and over and I was literally crying tears by the end

It’s the way that she just goes by spinning while everyone else is normal. I think that’s why it’s so funny. Just this short clip of one person out of control on a sedate ride. I think if it was a longer clip or shot differently it wouldn’t be as funny. And it is hilarious. I just watched this again weeks later and I’m still dying.

@1600 Music found another article that made it more clear, she had suffered injuries to her face and head already from a fall which is why they were rescuing her and thankfully the spin didn’t cause them just made her dizzy 👍
