I have always admired how much Valuev could accomplish with what he had. Starting boxing at 20, and becoming world champion. Not having the footwork associated with the early year training hours, but still being solid in defense. Also, his way of pacing himself and keeping composed shows great mental strength as well. Even in this fight, where he got danced around and was outclassed, he never lost his calm. A cerebral fighter, limited by technique, but able to use his size to become world champion.
