I'm from China,I can tell Frasier is so not known here compared to Friends but it's definitely the greatest comedy ever.If friends is a waltz about younth, Frasier is more like a ballade about life.

these shows are about none of those things... Frasier is not about "life". I don't know what you think the West is like, but the life of two ivy-educated millionaire snobs is not exactly relatable to most people. don't get me wrong - Frasier is a great show that is loved, deservedly, for its fast-paced and varied (anything from puns to culture references to physical comedy by DHP) but always intelligent, comedy. It is not, however, about life (well, not any more than any episode of any sitcom in existence, which at its most fundamental is a short morality play.)

Kelsey Grammer may have been the star, but David Hyde Pierce played the funniest character. Also, this Gilbert and Sullivan bit was far better then is should have been.

I always thought that Kelsey Grammar was the least likeable of the bunch, I think the show would have been better with someone else playing Frasier

I love David Hyde Pierce but if this is meant to be a version or parody of Gilbert & Sullivan's "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major General", it's pretty poor. The tune is not right and it's nowhere near fast enough.

I think it's actually supposed to be "When I Was A Lad," but not an exact parody. More of just a nod to the style of G&S.
