few people can understand the beauty and the strengh of the aparently simplycity of eggleston work,,,,no flashes or sophisticated gears,,,or lenses,,,,in some pictures almost can see a horror or thriller movie,,,,few photgrapher can produce that in the viewer,,,,
Eggleston is no different. Americana is weird but pleasing on the eyeballs. Which soon became an Hollywood cliche. I think when something becomes cliched so quickly - it was kind of cliched in the first place. Warhol did it all with more grit. The only pop artist that still cuts up.
