A followup 9 years later: the DLF has now taught more than a million children TM for free, world-wide, and was instrumental in convincing a dozen countries in Latin America to have ten thousand (total) public school teachers trained as TM teachers so that 7.5 million kids (plus all principals, faculty and staff in those ten thousand schools) are learnign TM for free. By 2030, the TM organization hopes that the results of this project will convince countries to have 100,000 school teachers and other government employees trained as TM teachers so that literally everyone in South and Central America can learn TM for free from their own governments. That project will take another ten years, so perhaps by 2040, we'll see a complete transformation of those countries along the lines of what Lynch says happened in himself.
I just like to know that when he's that calm when doing meditation and is happy all the time which is the result of it. I should know I'm doing it too. How can he make such bizarre films if he's positively calm and happy in a way that makes his films seem surreal and bizarre? I like to know that secret and how to get those ideas during transcendental meditation
Kristian Fino he is not that calm. For example, watch behind the scenes of season 3 of Twin Peaks: he is pretty nervous some times, he swears a lot, he smokes. Whole Lost Highway movie is a manifestation of his anger against Oliver Stone. It sure helps his creativity, but I'm not so sure about his mood.
Your mantra will be a word a sound, mine is 3 syllables, which has no meaning, so the mind does not attach to what it means. We all know what OM means, so it has a specific attachment. If you do not have money to find a TM teacher, ask them for support. If you have some money ask yourself what you would spend on a holiday or an iPhone ? Some of what you pay will help with David Lynch's work with the traumatised, Soldiers with PTSD etc. Look at the site for where you are. It is not mysterious. It's logical and it works. After just two weeks, his wife asked “What’s going on? Your anger: where’d it go?” I like that idea. I know meditation will be great for me, yet I keep procrastinating and not starting a regular practice.
@@markdaniels7174 Yes I put it off for 40 years hahaha!! Maybe this year was the perfect one. Plenty of daily stress, which I really am coping with far far more easily. It's fabulous and easy to stick with because it feels great and I'm getting so many benefits. I suggest you find your local TM teacher. Go and meet them for a free intro. Usually a Thursday. They will ask your money and give you personel sacred mantra!! Personal sacred mantra! I'm "The Sacred" what else can be more sacred than me? I Would repeat my name as a mantra rather than giving money to someone else to find me a mantra!🙏
No. In TM, you pay a maharishi whatever he charges, and he writes the mantra on a sheet of paper, and you're given the paper. You're never allowed to say it aloud. If you do, you have to buy a new one.
@@lun321 I was talking about Lynch, I actually just took the TM course last week though! Only been doing it for a little over a week, haven't tried learning advanced techniques yet, but I can now say with certainty that it's not a scam haha
One recommendation I have would be to read Dr. Tony Nader's new book, 'One Unbounded Ocean of Conciousness' for further insight, whether you know the TM technique, are interested, or are skeptical
