@@jacob4690 some games yes, but very inconsistent. And all the time, he was a mental case. Dangerous to his own team mates, disruptive of the dressing room and unmanageable for the staff. Probably a nice and funny bloke though away from the pitch and club
Decent player. Absolute bellend as a bloke. I remember him starting on a bunch of Newcastle youths and got chased to his bus security were going berserk

He's not a bellend as a bloke He seems really decent As for him being a decent player? He was a cracking player If his agent had advised him better, he should have stayed at City and won some premier leagues He was the the heartbeat of our time for a time and none of us City fans wanted him to go.
@@ronaldor9844 your talking rubbish and deep down you know it a bit like R9 saying he wanted to leave Manchester United to play champions league football but is a immature man who as to be centre of attention 🖕
My neice was in a relationship with a Swansea player when I was introduced to Craig at a Xmas party. My wife and I took an instant dislike to him. What a fool he was, very into himself so much so he really thought he was God! I have never met anyone as delusional before or since.
Very good player back in the day and was capable of being a game changer. It's a pity his ego got the best of him but now days he's admitted that and is at peace with it.
We call it bullying now back then it was character building alot of the reserves and youth players were tret badly they had to earn the respect To go in to the 1st team changing rooms to be able to sit on a 1st team players table at dinner even sometimes you were not aloud to speak to a 1st team player unless they spoke to you first times have changed since then... But it does make you wonder because viera Keane ect came up in. Them times n that's the sort of player alot of people miss..
It seems that his attitude was different later in his career. He was quality for West Ham. He has talked about how he used to laugh with the lads every single day, got on with everybody, loved the banter and mentored the young players. He could be very serious and demanding but the respect was that he treated every game like it was a Champions League final. There's a story about a reserve game against Southend. He was coming back to full fitness. He insisted the first team coach be used so all the youth players were buzzing. Not Craig, he was silent, wearing headphones and mentally preparing for the game. He ran around like a maniac for 90 minutes, got back on the coach and went home. He even put a serious shift in for Mark Noble's testimonial. The man might be insane.
He had a great year for us at Blackburn, whoever put a minimum fee release clause for not much more than we bought him for made a huge error. Towards the end of the season we nearly bought it out of his contract, but we didn't complete it in time. Given some of his issues though all I can say is in his year with us he was nothing short of exemplary.
might have been the only reason you got him though, same thing happened for us with Ba at NUFC. He had a super low min. fee release but it helped us jump the queue and sign him ahead of other clubs. Part of the game sometimes, least you got a good season out of him and made your money back.
At the you needed a club who had a framework with a ‘list of rules’, you needed a David Moyes manager, but didn’t fancy change because it was difficult or inconvenient
Why would Newcastle call clubs and warn them off him? If they thought he was worth the trouble they'd have kept him. If they thought he was a liability they'd happily let other clubs take him...
more likely the other clubs called Newcastle for a character reference and they were honest that he was a pain in the arse. Bellamy surely can't deny it, fights in Newcastle on nights out, fight with Riise, bullying youth players. No smoke without fire. Newcastle were hardly gonna go out their way calling other clubs.
@@philipbrowne7620 my names Robert starman you absolute plank take your penis out your sheep and use your brain he was finished with, used up and done with like your wife after your mates been round
Craig's problem is he always had a chip on his shoulder because of being quite small.... Prime example at Newcastle he told Bobby Robson that he's the best player bobby had ever coached the whole dressing room started laughing bobby walked out the dressing room came back in with a picture of Bobby with r9 and gave it to Craig n said your right son now sit the f down 😂#craig got humbled real quick also it's funny how he never mentions the time he hid and locked him self in a broom cupboard when Bobby was going to chin him
Reading alot of comments about him being a bellend and this and that. But he was a great little player, full of energy, just needed that manager to help learn to control that other hyper side of him. If its in you, its you. It can be controled to be a positive. Hes a very energetic person on and off the pitch One things for sure. He scored some fucking worldies along the way
Apparently Bobby's method was to just treat him differently, he'd pretend to the other lads he was blocking him but would really take him in his office and make him a cup of tea and tell him to pretend he got told off. Great man management but not sure you could get away with treating everyone different now. Also Bobby was special, not many managers could demand respect whilst doing things like that.
@@rcvc775 obviously that meant to say 'bollocking' haha. I think Bellamy told the story on a podcast once. Sad thing is Bellaz, Dyer etc took advantage of Bobby's kindness and they really fucked him over in his final season at the Toon.
@@rcvc775 there were stories about him, Dyer, Jenas - the younger lot perhaps taking the piss a bit due to his age but not sure how true it all is. Certain sections of the fans were also disrespectful to him as well, very sad times. But yeah on the whole, I think Bellaz is a knob but he was a great player and I hope he has matured a bit since his Newcastle days.
People here don’t know anything about him calling him a bell he was class on the pitch and still getting coaching rolls now along side kompany you think kompany is employing bell ends
Doesn't matter if you've still got your figure, you don't wear jeans like that when you're in your 40s, it's creepy as fck. You don't even wear them in your 30s.
Remember watching him at Coventry. Never known a player to moan and whinge as much as he did. If he had the right temperament and attitude he would have been a great player.
I'd argue that was part of why he was who he was, bit like Rooney's temperament, you take that out of him he's half the player. Bellaz was never gonna be world class but he maxed his ability and was an absolute pain in the arse for defenders, refs, teammates. The players in modern day I'd compare him to are Vardy and Suarez (obv not as good technically) - and if you took their shithousery out they probably wouldn't be as effective.
similar career trajectories (he says without fact checking) but didn't they both go Norwich, Coventry, Newcastle? Both quick wingers/forwards, fair comparison really.
Well if you'd concentrated on your football rather than attitude , you wouldn't have been a good player capable of outstanding things, you'd have been a great player capable of anything. Well, you are who you are I guess. Never mind, water under the bridge. Like a double double, No, we'll never forget a double double.
he is pronouncing it correctly, he's not talking about the football club. When talking about the Celts, it's pronounced with the hard C sound, not sure why the football team is different :/
