Does it amaze anyone else he just sang a fabulous song from Phantom meant to be a duet, but sang as a solo and obviously doing so by sight-reading, meaning without rehearsal, memorization, extensive prep, etc. Amazing! Please add all adjectives you can think of in admiration!
I’ve been a fan of David’s for YEARS and years, but I’ve never heard him sing this song. Gorgeous!!!! My name is Christina, so I’m going to pretend he sang this to me ❤️😁.
This was from the Phantom of the Opera. David would be a natural in Broadway musicals. He did a musical a couple of years ago that Larry Gatlin (Gatlin Brothers) wrote called Quanah. Clips of it can be found on RU-vid. It was a smash hit. Sold out performances and standing ovations for David every night. I didn't see the musical but saw clips of it and I was blown away by his passionate performance and his voice! Was another side of David that I had never seen before. He is amazing.
There's a homemade video of David in Carnegie Hall singing "Amazing Grace" acapella with his 2 daughters and Jack Daniels. The acoustics in that Hall are incredible and so is the song.
Right!?!? How special would that be!?? A song from David!! Can't wait to see more reactions! You know I love David - his voice, his ability to deliver a message, his passion for sharing Christ. But religious or secular - he is amazing!! Have a great day!😊
Hey Brother gaming I hope all is well with you my brother. You could tell he didn't rehearse. Just imagine if you would have rehearsed that song. What a blessing to have David Phelps sing along song LOL I can never get enough of David Phelps, it's not possible. Stay well brother. Thanks again
I've been David's fan for years, been to numerous concerts & a musical play he was in. You won't be disappointed. I've never heard a bad song from him.
Not surprised. Most of his music and singing has been in the gospel realm. Check out a few these other great he has done or covered: - Let Freedom Ring with the Gaither Vocal Band - The Lord's Prayer - O'Holy Night (absolutely phenomenal) - I want to know what Love Is (Foreigner cover) - You'll never walk alone - I have Nothing (Whitney Houston cover) - Unchained Melody
@@maj.jeffreys.grantcmas-psm9558 Sir, you hit the jackpot with your listing. David is pro in anything he sings but I have my favorites and you listed them.
My kids and I will get to see him in concert next week as part of his Christmas series of concerts. Met him a few years ago. Just as nice and humble as you would imagine him to be. Sounds exactly the same live as you see him in videos. Definitely my favorite singer.
I saw this too as it popped up on my feed ......His lower register is just as stunning as his higher vocals.....Love his voice.... Thanks for the 'reaction Lyle...
I've always loved this song and now I can't get enough of his version of it! I literally lost it when he first hit the high notes about 40 seconds into the song! Thank you for your reaction video and thanks to David for sharing something so special with us Phans!
G'Day Lyle! Howzabout *that* performance? I love your new studio/office/mancave! What a journey you have taken with your reaction videos. I have watched them all many times over. It makes me happy when someone else becomes a fan of singers that I love so much. You started with Home Free and then so many Home Fries started recommending David. There is a huge crossover between the two. You are very genuine in your comments and reactions. This is a link to a rare secular song of David's that I think you will enjoy. Filmed by a fan, but very listenable. I think you'll enjoy it. I hope all is well with you and your family. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-urHB-SJQT0k.html
It worth listening to. This is band, that really doesn't have a name. But one of them is the son of Pastor John Hagee. The bass singer used to be with Gaither Vocal Band. Enjoy
I've very much enjoyed your reactions to David Phelps music (and Guy Penrod and Mark Lowry) as I have been a fan of his music and the entire Gather group for a while. Another that I would like to see you react to is Sandy Patty's and Larnell Harris' rendition of "I've Just Seen Jesus" with the Gather group. Guarantee it will blow your socks off.
I Believe in a Hill Called Mount Calvary by the Gaither Vocal Band is a wonderful song that you should definitely react to. It has Micheal English as part of the group in this one.
Enjoyed your reaction to this song, it’s one of my favorites from any musical. Checkout PTX’s new release (2 days ago) of an original Christmas song that Scott and his boyfriend wrote. It is called “Thank You”. I think you will enjoy that also. It breaks new ground for PTX.
Hey! Another great reaction. Ever since I saw your first video on SRV, I have been dropping in from time to time to watch your work. I even remember your pet bird taking your pen. haha. I am still a subscriber and I would like to get your take on Michael Franti's songs :"Hey World (Don't Give Up) and "The Flower (with Victoria Canal)". Both songs speak to social issues. Again thanks for your message in these reactions. HNY!
Also, if like his lower register, check out Moonlight from his PBS tv special, and his Classics album. His lower notes will make you wept and then his slide to his head voice, OMG. Even if you don’t react to it, you should check it out. Bonus, David is playing moonlight sonata on the piano. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RCvHFpDUf-c.html
Thank you for another great reaction--many of us "phans" have said we can never get enough of David. 'Luckily, it looks like we'll have to include cha too! Have you reviewed His rendition of "Let The Glory Come Down" from the AUSTRALIAN HOMECOMING? (I looked, but couldn't find it if you have.) This is one of those songs where if David's performance doesn't get cha movin'...then I don't know what will! :D ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vcFoLtDuANI.html
I like this performance of Let the Glory Come Down. He doesn’t hold anything back here. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-R58BI_PkVaw.html
