I grew up in a family of singers. My dad, two of his sisters and my uncle by marriage had a quartet that sang all over our area and in our church every Sunday when I was growing up. My mom was the pianist. My grandpa was a songwriter, with many published songs. I’m not as talented as them, but I sing loud to the Lord, and I’m so thankful for my upbringing.

Maggie Beth is his youngest daughter, performed here at 17 years old! Both daughters sing with him right often and have his pipes and gift. Both of His sons also sing occasionally. This song David wrote the music and Gloria Gaither wrote the words. It is the story of Jesus and the woman at the well. John 4:5-30

This song is the story of the woman at the well when Jesus asked her for a drink. Gloria Gaither wrote the words to David's music. I believe Maggie Beth was 17 when this was recorded. It's good to see you reacting to David Phelps again.

This song is based on the encounter in the Bible between Jesus and the woman at the well. David wrote the music, Gloria Gaither the words. The "Freedom" DVD from which this song comes was filmed in the old Barn on David's Pharm which he renovated into a concert venue. I was there for the filming of this. It was beyond spectacular.
