Stop with culture vulture please,when you love something this much go and enjoy it. Reggae is not just for Jamaican, everyone from all culture love it even if they don’t fully understand the words. I have friends from thirty countries and all love the culture. I am into reggaeton music and culture than my own music, am I a vulture. Take some time to go see the world, then you will understand. Nah man don't do that to raggae's greatest fan. Em is among the great rappers, but Rodigan is so much bigger than an artist. I'll explain it this way, we all love The Supremes. Temptations, Marvin Gaye etc. But without Barry Gordie we may have never heard of those iconic groups. Trus me, if it wasn't for David Rodigan many of the artist and tunes that we love would be unknown
I remember when he used to be the UK's best reggae DJ. Respect to him still but would like to see him play more new real reggae instead of jungle and dubstep.
Rodigan has done very well playing reggae music but your comment about remembering when he was the best reggae is way off the mark and a bit disrespectful to the foundation reggae dj's and sound systems that have been representing for decades and Rodigan would tell you that himself, check the interview he gives when he states that Sir Peckins opened up his house to him and showed him the way.

This is the UK. The birth place of Ragga jungle. IF he wasnt in the Uk he wouldnt be playing jungle like this.. He knows how to read a crowd and notice the movement once the jungle started. the fact is most in the crowd were not old school Jamaicans. just a fact
Listen to his show on BBC and you will hear all reggae, mostly new stuff. When he plays live he still plays ska, rocksteady the whole catalogue... but he knows how to read a crowd and get them HYPE! I seen him get the crowd in Summerjam, Germany, go more wild than any dj ever in 2000! In my book the best DJ... EVER! ... and i had the sublime honour of working the turntables with him in 2016 at Distortion Festival, Copenhagen, the epitome of my own dj career... and only a week after hanging out with LEE Perry...
