2023 and the Alien Franchise is still going!

Was Ripley the only human that ever made intelligent choices in this franchise?

Good job not taking off the helmet! Already smarter than the Prometheus and Covenant crew.

The graphics for the organism analysis and data collection was brilliant, I loved it. David left one more egg as a present for invited explorers, no doubt. Good to see they kept hold of all that amazing artwork that was produced for David's studies. We didn't see enough of it in Covenant, but maybe this was the plan all along. I loved how it tied up the whole idea of Weyland-Yutani's prior knowledge of the Xenomorph, their ruthless curiosity and diabolical conspiracy of sending expendable crew members in blind. The Alien Universe crews weren't stupid they were all deliberately set up and sacrificed. It was chilling the way the AI said Xenomorphic Entity Identified - objective accomplished. This looked a little too polished and well thought out to be "a little fun". I'm hoping the next prequel instalment is moving full steam ahead and they have successfully kept it top-secret. Some of the plot leaks prior to Covenant did affect the viewing experience, particularly knowing about the infections, backbursters and throatbursters before seeing it. If that had been kept a secret I think those scenes would've had far greater impact.

This is on the right track, can we PLEASE get a movie with this tone? PLEASE!

These Alien short films really show the potential for Alien spinoff anthology movies. Kinda like Star Wars did with Rouge One and Han Solo spin-offs films.

The tone and atmosphere of all of Ridley's entries in his universe are sublime. This is literally just an in-world, detailed look at one set piece and it's enough for me to love it.

MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE!!!!! The teasing is getting cruel now, Fox/Disney! Give us something to bite into! (FULL LENGTH MOVIE ASAP).

Holy cheese and crackers that was amazing! Perfect soundtrack choice. The practical effects and sounds were on point. I’d like to think the camera recording the birth and growth of the alien starts the Company’s fixation with the Xenomorph.

I rarely watch movies but Alien Covenant in particular I keep coming back to watch over and over. Really well made and interesting, and I hope to see the continuation soon.

This dude deserves his treatment. Taking his time and unwittingly letting the egg go active, and then looking into it. Hahaha

they need to make a sequel to Isolation. Have it connect to the prequels and bring back the Engineers. Example, Amanda and small crew explore Planet 4 years after the events of Covenant. There they explore the dead city and come across David’s Lab and his experiments. A rogue Xenomorph attacks from the shadows. The dead city is the new game environment and has Amanda explore, run, hide from the alien that hunts them from within. She makes startling discoveries along the way (more lore on the Engineers and the city’s inhabitants that once populated the place)..

I liked Covenant from the start. Looked great, sounded great. If they could just have made Prometheus the one-off Alien prequel it was conceived as before they tried to make it something other; so basically Prometheus with the creatures, tone and score of Covenant, it would have been great.

Love Country Roads playing in the background, a fun touch that still keeps to the continuity.

Amaizing work for an even more amaizing video experience. So well made ! Please more of that in clips and movies. The whole series of films and clips are great. Especially this one. Can't wait to see more.

Nice to get a look around David's Lab, but a little obvious on the storyline

I really want to see that Covenant sequel. But I fear Disney will either reboot the franchise or do nothing. Their operational costs are so high that they don't seem interested in making films unless the box office will clear a billion.

Brilliant, loved how intricate the scanning process of the egg was ,, Down to its minut detail. As the facehugger awakes , due to the triggered disturbance.. Those fools.. David's Laboratory will forever be goated in the Alien series.. Countless talented artist , sculptors, and practical effects crews , Brought that room to life and made it believable..And quite frankly pretty fuckin terrifying.. You can tell it was alot of passion and love for the series put into this film 🎥..

This was so good!!! Come on Disney you are remaking ever movie that has ever been made before. Give Sir Ridley the money to make the next Alien flick. You may not make a ton of money but you know you will break even and probably put a few bucks in your pocket for that matter.

Keep making alien short films.

They should have kept Alien: Covenant as Alien: Paradise Found and instead of making the crew stupid, they should have made them competent. Also, David's weird, creepy, doctor Frankenstein thing was phenomenal. The script should have been ALL about that instead of dumb people who did dumb things. Covenant could have been so much grander. Taken us on a journey into the deranged mind of a synthetic person who has clearly lost it. David is the single most interesting character in the two films and he is so underutilized. I hope that this next one will do something different. Because unlike many people, I think Covenant gets more shit than it deserves. But I will say at times it is utter nonsense and other times, it is terrifying. Not monster BOO terrifying. But the psychotic mind of a mad genius who plans to exterminate any life he can get his hands on and morph its dead body into a bastard offspring that is then used to fuel his ravenous appetite for chaos. A syfi Frankenstein in space. Brilliant. Too bad the script was cluttered and unfocused.

This short film raises a lot of questions...and not necessarily in a good way. Alien, Aliens and Alien 3 establish that there has been no real contact with Xenomorph XX-121 up until these events. W-Y may have some awareness of their existence, owing to David's transmission after the events of Covenant, yet here we have a man who has somehow ended up on Planet 4/Paradise (alone?) who ends up being implanted? I mean, there are some major issues with continuity between these prequels and the original films, but this isn't clearing anything up. I genuinely don't think David created the actual Xenomorph; he's just copying something that already exists - something that was probably made by the Engineers (as is heavily implied in the Covenant novelisation). Hence why the eggs look different and the alien itself doesn't match up in terms of behaviour and appearance. I'm sorry, but I think Sir Ridley Scott just has some kind of superiority complex when it comes to his films; he dislikes and outright rejects any concepts or ideas that are added by other creators, even if they actually improve the overall franchise. I think the man is a visionary creator, but he needs to let the franchise evolve without trying to null things like the Queen, and the gene-targeting that allows the alien to adopt traits from its host. Sorry, this comment became a rant. I'm a massive fan of the franchise, just not certain recent choices.

After Aliens, Dark Horse comics really has made the best stories within this universe. These shorts are I think a step in the right direction, showing other interactions not tied directly to the movies.

This is ok. Makes me want more though. Also...brings up more questions for me...where are the other full grown xenomorphs from Covenant? Where is Walter since David beat him with fisticuffs somewhere in the lab? Why is this guy exploring alone (where’s the rest of his team)? Didn’t they come across at least some of the bodies and wreckages in David’s office and outside? This raises lots of questions for me (but yes, it was fun).

Wish I had that set for a day. Such things could be done.... Not much of a story here, but a great set indeed. Let's get Ridley's final prequel/sequel. DAVID vs RIPLEY!!!!!!!!!!
